- There has been a number of drownings this summer around Australia, both inland and on the coast, all to often we hear of the rescuer that helps someone in trouble rush out and become a victim of drowning themselves. Please do not rush in to dangerous situations take a deep breath remain calm call 000 go get the lifeguards if you have a floatation device and you are a confident swimmer you may assist with rescues.
