I love watching you guys!!! You are so good to your dad. I love the relationship. Keep treating him well. I lost my dad in July and it breaks my heart. I wish I could have asked if he wanted to let me help him with his business, but I never did. Now me and my sister have taken over his business and work together to keep it alive. I get to list everything online. He would have been so happy if I was able to help him. I really miss him.
Yes, eBay deserves credit when they work with sellers on negative feedback. We try to work out issues with buyers but one time we had an issue that we didn't feel comfortable even approaching the customer. We sold an item that was a month before expiration as Clearance at reduced price. The ad showed expiration date in title bar. Buyer left negative feedback saying the item only had one month before expiration. Ebay initially told us to work it out with the buyer. Our reply, "really? what would we say to the buyer? expiration was clearly stated in ad. price was reduced as clearance. Ebay agreed to remove the negative feedback without us talking with the buyer. Kudos to eBay!
Congrats Ryan for fighting for the removal. Keeping it 100 is key! (tip: when we work out issues with negative or neutral feedback, we don't discuss feedback revision. our initial goal is to resolve the issue and get the buyer to a happy satisfied state of mind. A day or two after we have worked out the complaint we send a feedback revision request. This usually works out with buyer revising to positive feedback often complimentary our customer service).

Good Morning Ryan, hate you guys received negative feedback. I know from experience Ebay will inform you to work it out with the buyer. However in my experience that normally does not work. A few months ago had an experience where a buyer purchased a pair of Danskos and after having them for 3 weeks indicated shoes started falling apart. Buyer sent me a picture and returned the item at my cost. Once I received item back there was more damage to shoes than picture showed. Buyer seemed to have poured some sort of accelerant on shoes which by time when I opened package soles of shoes were brittle. Phoned Ebay and they pretty much said this is the cost of doing business. Therefore phoned another customer agent and was only given 1/2 of money for item. The second agent however did remove negative feedback. Another daily lesson learned when dealing with Ebay customer service.

I'm glad to see Ebay took that negative off for you. I recently had an issue where a buyer opened a claim against me and not only did ebay take the feedback off, but ebay reimbursed the buyer for the return shipping; not me. I think ebay is really making an effort to take care of the sellers and I appreciate it. I'm still an ebay fan. :-)

You are correct about vintage t-shirts. I just sold a liquid blue all over two sided dragon shirt within 1 hour of posting. Others had shirt up for 200 to 250 but were in great condition. Mine had 2 holes in it, the neck was very worn, and had a paint splat on it. But instead of liquid blue tag it had fruit of loom tag. I put it up for $100 and took best offer of a little less. It was something I picked up for 2 bucks at goodwill.

This summer while on vacation back home I thrifted a pair of New W/O box of Hoka boots for $3. I didnt want to travel back home with the product. My dad has an ebay store so we listed for $150 + shipping. First sale was returned because they didnt fit, no problem. Second sale was returned requesting a refund & returned because boots were damaged. There was gravel in soles and in-step was torn even though they were new w/o box. After many, many attempts we were denied immediately on our case and buyer refunded. We had many pictures and detailed description and ebay still denied. After multiple phone calls and getting a supervisor we were finally instructed to file an incident report with local Sheriff Dept that was scanned into our ebay case. The ebay supervisor agreed that we were returned a different boot. We actually won our appeal and refunded!!! Unfortunately we still have damaged product. If this was a $10-20 item I'm not sure we would've gone through all that but what we learned was Fight Fight Fight. Thanks for all your help and hope this comment helps someone else.

Do you guys have a form or something you started out with to breakout the cost your purchased item, fees, etc. to gauge how your doing. Once I get bigger I will setup a spreadsheet. I like the bits of real life , meaning not all reselling , to the videos. I think you previously said your family is from South Africa, and I like your slight accent. Even before finding that out I noticed your distinctive manner of speaking. You enunciate your T sounds in a way that most people don’t. Maybe it’s a strange thing to notice but I was a teacher for a long time, lol. Maybe one day you’ll share the story of how you and Ally met. You’re a sweet couple. We're 1 month in on starting reselling. Happy so far $500+ for the first 4 weeks is a good start, I think. Best sellers for us so far...Anything to do with Wii Consoles - We've sold 3 Wii's, Wii Fit Boards, Rock Band for Wii - Really working out. Shoes - Mainly Skechers are going well too. Weird - We started with Free Shipping, but things have really picked up after we changed to buyer pays shipping. Odd, but it's working for us now. Anyway - Thanks for the continued inspiration and the videos :)
