  • You have been told NOT to give out your SS#; so why do medical facilities have a space set aside for it when new patients sign up? The SSA started medicare in 1966 as healthcare for those 65+; now, they have created CMS to handle matters. The original medicare cards showed your SS# (-A for you) & (-B for spouse without SS#). It worked OK as long as medical files were written on paper and stored in locked filing cabinets. ALL that has changed with computers and electronic records. Identity theft from medical records increased to the point that new medicare cards were issued to EVERYONE in 2018 with a new, alpha/numeric number that was not your SS#. Unfortunately, officials ASSUMED that medical facilities would discard the SS# info from everyone's records in their files. THAT has NOT happened. Until medical offices are fined for keeping SS#'s in their records, the entire action of re-issuing new medicare cards with new, non-SS#'s (at a cost of millions of $$$) will remain a waste of taxpayer $$$...

Tulsi Gabbard's office acknowledged receiving this video link on Tuesday, June 2, 2020; so when will she announce changes to be initiated thru the TV "fake news"? The American public is not impressed by leaders who put the phrase "The Honorable..." before their names when they haven't EARNED the right to add that attribute to themselves....
