Jewellery-making in Bangladesh with business training from Concern

Salma is a jewellery maker in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She and her husband used to buy templates to make their jewellery, and carried out their work in a cramped room by themselves.
But through Concern's ILEUP (Improving the Lives of Urban Extreme Poor) programme, Salma received training, and was given the support she needed to grow her business.
City-gold Jewellery has become such a success that Salma has moved into a new premises, was able to buy better equipment, and has even hired staff.
