Tense Only What Is Needed

  • Make sure your workouts is not contributing towards more tightness and tension in your body.
Traditional ways of doing strength training, increases tension in your body, which restricts, energy and blood flow. Even though you are benefiting from becoming stronger, you decrease in circulation and range of motion. In my opinion, it is not worth the sacrifice .
You must learn how to strengthen your body by tensing only what is needed and staying as relax as possible. Have patience. Your body may take some time to adjust to this way of exercise. It’s not about the exercise ultimately. The bigger picture is you are re-programming your body to learn how to relax all the time.
You are reprogramming your body how to constantly be in a state of calm and surrender so this way, whatever emotional triggers happen, you don’t hold onto them and release them immediately.

Interesting! Completely agree! Was taught exactly that principle in a self defense to become faster and more efficient. Dont be tense, relax into the movement, use only the muscles needed, be almost a little playful. Like fiercely playful. It does something with your mindset , too. One can try it: do squats frowning, concentrating fiercely, tensing your shoulders and back, feet and core, and they feel heavy. Do them lighthearted, concentrating on pushing upwards while smiling a bit inwardly, keeping an active core but your shoulders and your forehead relaxed, and they become 100% more easy AND more precise, almost elegant. Thx for the reminder!

Are you saying only be sore in one place at a time instead of multiple sore spots? What exactly should I do?

I disagree with you because you have lift weight to build muscle

I am building muscle doing what he said without evening lifting weights. I had muscle in the 90s and never lifted weights, I walked super steep hills and did HIT like 3 times a day which boost HGH.
