The armor is good, but the Canon is the same as the t34-85 at 5.7, but you are facing USA and Germany heavy tanks at your br, and on uptiers, which you get most of the time, your armor is useless because of heat shells and all you have is mediocre cannon and medium+ mobility

I haven’t seen the turret jerry cans in so long. I remember when they were 30mm of steel back when they were introduced. Made some cool field mods for several tanks
@@alexmorris1071 it made the jumbo so broken. Honestly tho I really enjoyed the mechanic. Honestly I’m down for it, field mods were/are a huge thing for tank crews. And all of it is marginal at best for added protection.
I enjoyed the AMX-30's a lot more than I expected I would. Lacking a stabilizer sucks, but they're fairly agile and the coaxial 20mm was hilariously good value. I probably knocked out as many planes with them as I did tanks.
@@PhantomTangeant at 7.7, you meet a lot of tanks that the 20mm can take out easily, the lack of stab is fine in a downtier because no one else has one also, and then the rangefinder is great for longer maps
6.7 is just suffering in general, beside that, the T-44 is a good tank, good mobility, very nice armour, it just lacks the firepower needed. I honestly think the T-44 can be 6.3 at some point in the future, just because it's ignored and people go directly to the 100 version.
The T-44 was already 6.3 around 2 years ago. It´s beyond me why it was put to 6.7. This BR is an uptier nightmare and you only face APDS and HEAT which kills als the fun the T-44 can make.
Good news about the T-44 are that it has good mobility and armor, and if you know how to aim with the 85, then you are good to go. Bad news, you're most likely to be matched against the US, which is the power house of armor for that br.
Is the T-44 to high of BR? I know if has an amazing hull armor profile for conventional rounds…. But that’s on the upper plate… and that’s all. What else about it makes it deserve to be at 6.7? Genuinely -No Stabs -Okay Turret armor -A 85mm found at 5.0 with the same ammo -Decent mobility -Acceptable reload -Acceptable side armor (can be angled) -Excellent UFP I see this at 6.0 or maybe 6.3… but 6.7? Idk
Because Soviet bias. T-44 - it flank only gameplay (as on video). This gun at this BR? I don't even spend silver for crew. Same problem with IS series. US and Germany heaves have better pen and reload (2 or 3 times faster) at lower BR when is-4 (who have gun and reload from 6.0)
Using BR-367 over BR-365A is a classic mistake players make in late 85mm tanks. The 365A has vastly more filler (it has a truly absurd amount, it's a one shot if it pens >90% of the time) and it has the famous soviet late-war normalization. The slightly better flat penetration and slightly higher MV of 367 aren't worth it. Don't bother with the APCR either, as the damage is a joke and it still won't go through many things frontally as it is awful against anything sloped or curved and there's not much armor at this BR that is both in its penetration range *and* totally flat.
