Love this idea. I might try this next year, although on a smaller scale. Plus, I might vary the color of the blue lights, mix with some green, teal and white, to give it depth and dimension. Love it !
@@holidaylightingcreations yeah that came to my mind also, and I thought about putting holes in it to let the water drain, but that's just to much work. I'm already halfway done with putting my island and lake together and like it. Thanks for the video!! Helpful!
Yes, I would recommend using the commercial grade mini lights since the bulbs are sealed. If you have lots of snow, the lights probably would not show through.

What a cool idea!
Beautiful. Great job!
Love this thanks for sharing
That looks fantastic!
I know how much lights that took, I filled my entire lawn with green LEDs. Great video thx for sharing looks awesome
How much
How many box's of lights did that area take?
This looks so cool, I love this ! GREAT JOB !!!
Can you tell me about the flying reindeer as to whether you bought or built them. Thank you so much!
How do you not step on the lights when putting up or taking down ?
Do you think adding a clear plastic sheet on bottom would help reflect light or take away from the lake?
That might help but it would collect water when it rains

Can you use this same concept for snow on the ground? What kind of lights would be best?
Yes, I would recommend using the commercial grade mini lights since the bulbs are sealed. If you have lots of snow, the lights probably would not show through.
It would be great to put some ice skaters on it this year.
Great idea!
Thank you. Really well done.
It looks like blue and white lights but what color are they
What lights did you use
How do I make the lighthouse
Can we still water the lawn if we do this ?
Yes, if you use waterproof lights. When it rains, it doesn’t effect our display.
Could I use indoor lights outdoor?
Hell no
How do I make a waterfall or a stream?
You would need to use blue lights that have a twinkle in them
Are them blue or blue and white
It is just blue lights on the pond
Where do you buy "commercial grade" lights? I'm tired of buying the cheap stuff the big box stores sell.
I sell them on my website: www.holidaylightingcreations.com/category/all-products
