Evan Carlson - NEK Broadband

Evan Carlson is the Director of Product and Business Development at Whiteout Solutions, a geospatial technology company focused on democratizing access to critical climate and environmental data through web based applications.
After more than a decade of building digital products for startups in metro areas, Evan returned to his home in the Northeast Kingdom in 2016. While working remotely in his first year home, he experienced the inequity and challenges associated with connectivity, both to the internet and creation of community. In an effort to address some of these challenges, Evan founded Do North Coworking alongside Northern Vermont University offering reliable high speed internet and a connection into Vermont’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. To further the work, Evan helped lead an effort to provide fiber internet service to every resident in the region through a communication union district known as NEK Broadband.
