This deserves part 2 and part 3! It would be indeed very interesting to learn how America has changed from your point of view.

I'm fascinated with cultural differences between America and Europe, another video would be great!

Europese isn't a country. There are so many hugs differences between European countries. For example, what you eat for lunch in the Netherlands and Spain is very different.

@@ingridhoogenberg4952 NO WHERE IN MY COMMENT DID I SUGGEST EUROPE WAS A COUNTY, STFU- comparing a county to a contient does not suggest otherwise - and where is Europese???

@loriloretta7639 First off all there is no need for yelling at me. How rude!! If you feel adressed, well "wie de schoenen past trekt hem aan" is what we say in the Netherlands in these cases. Holland is probably what you would say, and that's not correct either! Europese is the Dutch word for European. And there you have the first difference between European counties, the language. That alone is why you can't compare America with Europe. You can maybe compare some rules we have that apply for the whole continent. But culture wise, there are more differences between countries than you can count.

@@ingridhoogenberg4952 no one is yelling just using CAPS TO MAKE SURE you understand- I never said nor inferred that EUROPE IS A COUNTRY. We should get together for coffee, c u next tuesday!

Good luck on your new journey! Are you from the US originally? Where in Italy were you? Thanks for watching! 😊

The cash thing depends on the part of Europe. In the North you also can’t pay everywhere with cash anymore. The south is a bit slower.
Just as with smoking, here in the Netherlands almost nobody smokes anymore, it isn’t aloud in cafes and restaurants (inside or outside) anymore. I was shocked by the heavy smokers in the South (Spain, France etc)

@@tikitube1 It's taken me awhile to stop freaking out. Haha. I knew reverse culture shock would be a thing, but I didn't know how it would hit. Eight months on and I'm involved in local activities and connecting with new friends and I'm seeing the fun side of things.

Plus you have to tip a lot too here. But I feel bad for bartenders in Europe.. Here they can get rich, over there they're paid worse than janitors it sounds like.. I can't decide what's worse.. Tipping culture being out of control over here, or bartenders and waiters being paid so poorly over there..
(Also, makes sense if the service is faster and better here.. they want to make good tips. lol
And I think to avoid annoying people, you just kinda watch them from afar.. or go near them without speaking and make eye contact.. if they need something or don't want to be bothered it should be obvious just from observation and body language maybe.)
And if you want to go fast on the freeway here without getting a ticket, find a speeder and speed behind them just a little bit slower. I always drive fast and never get tickets. Though possibly a lot of people speed more in California, idk.

Faux pour l'argent en Italie, partout ou presque vous pouvez payer sans contact, même du pain.

It's such a stupid question usually, especially from a stranger.. Like don't ask if you don't actually care or want the truth. lol
