Cool stuff. I've fixed a couple of old AGMs. I have a late 40s Kamplite and an old 268 big hat with the original mica globe. Amazingly the fount wasn't cracked. Im looking forward to seeing the big Coleman stove fired up. Thats a cool old stove.

I've wanted one of those hot plate type stoves since I first saw one. Great find! Those grates can be brazed with silicon bronze. Won't be factory, but you can pretty easily fab some parts that are close enough and will provide some support and make it look kinda complete, or just get some heavy grill grates and cut them down to fit. Can't wait to see that one fired up. Anything with a preheat generator gets two enthusiastic thumbs up in my book. Haha! Too bad it's an R55 though. They're priced like they are made of gold.....

Great tip on the silicon bronze. I've got access to a brazing rig, so I'll keep that in mind for the future. I'm anxious to get started on the project as I'm looking to take it to the Lone Star Coleman Collector's fall gathering this year.
