Appleton Junction 2023 open day 4K

This is Michael Bacon's 2023 16mm Open Day on the Appleton Junction Railway. We last visited this line in 2018 and since then an extension loop has been added from a junction at the station. Future plans include adding a second platform for passengers using trains on the extension.
32mm gauge with a mixture of set track curves in places and Peco flea-track elsewhere, there is both a high level steam up area and a low level one, and the line has some significant gradients including the spiral.
Several East Midlands Area members came to run a variety of trains.
Brock Rail No.7 took the GoPro Hero 9 around the line both for a "guards eye view" and then looking back at manual and radio controlled trains following. Aerial images from the Brock Air DJI Mini 3 Pro and other footage from the Canon XF400.
