Hey, thank you very much! I just came back from Moscow. I think, that I will publish the next set in the next three days or so. I am a bittle owerwhelmed yet :D
This is actually a pretty epic set from a music genre I haven't been that into until now. You got a subscriber, I feel the need to dig deeper into these things called frenchcore and florilu.
nice tracklist, but ffor the next time you could choose some more acts. everybody is so fucussing on the dr. and sefa right now. off course, they are amazing but there are many others. i am a Whistlers fan for example.
Hey Lars!
yes, but there is an Explanation ffor this. the offfficial tracks of peackock records have the best Quality. the other tracks don't have enough "pressure"
Hey guys, I just wanted to thank you all for listening to this mix that much! I mean, I have almost 1000 subs and this mix has gotten almost 30.000 clicks. This somehow escalated really quick. This mix is the most popular of mine, so I wanted to ask you three things: 1. What do you like the most about this mix? 2. What do you dislike the most about this mix? 3. Regardless of whether you like it or not, what can I improve? Thank you very much for your support, I really appreciate it!
For me the reason to returning to listen this mix again is that it has a pleasant balance between melodic stuff and hard untz-untz material. Also, the sound quality is more consistent and better than a lot of mixes of this genre found in the tubes. The only negative thing I can think of is that the mix has so many tracks from a couple artists, meaning that as a fairly new arrival to this genre the tracklist didn't help me as much in finding more new bands to listen.
Ugh. You only included mainstream producers, you must be new to the genre... the whole mix looks like you searched up "frenchcore" and included the first 20 songs that popped up... Trip to ireland in a 2018 mix? That's a joke, right?
+Exzenzia Hey, thank you for your comment! I am answering a bit late because I have been in vacation. I have taken note of the wish to include not "mainstreamy" tracks in my mixes and I am looking for a solution that makes both sides, the mainstream and the not mainstream site, happy. Actually, I am not new to the genre, I am listening Frenchcore since around five years. I have to tell you, that your assumption is pretty wrong. You neither thought about how and where I purchase and search the tracks, nor did you take time to criticize in a constructive manner. To give you a little idea about that progess: Every 1st. of a month, I am looking for new tracks on Hardtunes. I listen to every track from every album/EP/single from every producer. I actually know about almost all releases of Frenchcore. Not only from Peacock, Sefa, Maissouille and so on. Also from DJ Smurf, Mr. Bassmeister, Dark Bayron, Execrate, D-Silent, Psiko, Barotek, JKLL, Bionator Project and so on ... just to count a few of them. And I also research about two hours in average. Whether or not I buy a track is solely dependent of my own taste. In short: I buy the tracks that I like. But there are other factors of which you are not aware of. For example the taste of alot of other people, the quality differences, the differences of the styles etc. To make it easier to understand: If I would mix a track of Peacock with something from Bionator Project, they simply won't fit. This is a dilemma. I have to find fitting tracks to keep the atmosphere and feeling of the mix. But in most cases, mainstream and not mainstream don't fit together. You also have to take into account that my time frame is limited since I am a student and programmer. I could write you a even longer comment about all the factors, but I won't do that. I mix the tracks that I like, I make mixes that I like, and if someone doesn't like a mix, then the person doesn't like my mix. Easy as that. But making assumptions while not thinking about it twice is unfair. You are not the world and I am not the world. We both don't have the "ultimate truth". So, if people like this mix, let them like them. If I like what I do, let me do it. If you have something to criticize, then do it in a constructive manner. It isn't that hard, believe me :) PS: I still like Trip To Ireland :P
+florilu I personally think you did a great job with the mix! Don't listen to what they have to say, what you like is just simply what you like. Keep doing what you're doing! PS: Trip to Ireland is one of my favorites :D
The whole list hasn't any real Frenchcore in it... Just Copy past core... These DJ's are like : Hmm turn on the radio... He Katy Perry, lets put a kick behind the singing and call it Frenchcore. Now turn on the TV... Ooooh hear this movie soundtrack...lets put a kick behind it and call it Frenchcore. Now lets play a retro (nintendo) game... Oooh hear this game tune.... lets put a kick behind it and call it Frenchcore. Frenchcore is raped
+Colin Jonker At first, I don't know where your first comment went, but it was really really toxic. That second comment is still toxic but not as much as the first one. So, I will answer both comments. Even if you may have deleted the first one, or UA-cam did, I don't know. The reason Sefa has closed the Rawstyle stage is that the rawstyle stage was larger. Like he closed this years black stage at Defqon while there is also the yellow. Simply because it was larger. It has nothing to do if Sefa makes "real" Frenchcore or not. I myself am sceptical with his new tracks. Same kick, same lead, the melodies are simple and follow a simple formula. But I have to admit that, when mixed correctly, they can be listened to. As a DJ, I care about three things: I at least like the tracks a bit, the mix is at least from higher quality and the listeners like the tracks too. The topic "real" Frenchcore. This is an easy one. There is no "real" Frenchcore. As there is no "real" Classical Music or Jazz, Pop and so on. Every genre evolves over time. Frenchcore also has begun using samples in its early days. Listen to early tracks from Radium. The samples may not have been as well known as todays, but samples were used since the beginning. When you think like this: Frenchcore, in its core, is the same. Use a kick, use a sample, mix both of them and maybe make a small lead sound with a simple melody. There are for sure mixes out there which use "oldschool" Frenchcore or not so mainstreamy tracks, I think they are even declared as those. For me, you seem like one of these persons who say the whole time "in the early days, everything was better". Why not embrace new things? I mean, the whole life is about new things and you have the choice if you embrace them or not. But please, stop being so toxic. That's one of the things that I absolutely hate about UA-cam that half of the "I don't like it"-comments are quite the opposite of constructive criticism.
I didnt delete my first reaction, I can still see it. Its not about using samples... A sample is just a short part of a track... Not an copy of an entire song or track. I will admits that Sefa makes good Kicks, but the rest is just not Frenchcore. Cmon dude.. Wat zullen we drinken 7 dagen lang with a Frenchcore kick doesnt deserve to be called Frenchcore. Have you ever listened to Psychedelic Trans/GOA? Listen tot hat music and think about it : If you make a Psy Trance/GOA beat and let Katy Perry sing behind that beat.. Did you make Psy Trance or did you just raped a beat/genre? Frenchcore is a much deeper music genre than just copying every tune you like and put a kick on it. I really dont understand why everybody likes all the Trip to ... from Peacock so much... Its just to Easy.... He will go around the world, looking for already excisting tunes or melodies to copy and put a beat on it. Yugh
& mi humble opinion iz you play waaaaaaaaay better than lots of others................
