- Sherlock Holmes: THE SIGN OF THE FOUR by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
ABOUT THE BOOK:
The Sign of the Four, also called The Sign of Four, is the second novel featuring Sherlock Holmes written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Doyle wrote four novels and 56 stories starring the fictional detective.
The story is set in 1888. The Sign of the Four has a complex plot involving service in East India Company, India, the Indian Rebellion of 1857, a stolen treasure, and a secret pact among four convicts (the Four of the title) and two corrupt prison guards. It presents the detective's drug habit and humanizes him in a way that had not been done in the preceding novel, A Study in Scarlet (1887). It also introduces Doctor Watson's future wife, Mary Morstan.

I agree that the reader of this piece is a pleasure to listen to. He performs the various voices quite exceptionally. Too often those who attempt reading Holmes tales fail, only to sound monotone and boring, making it difficult to listen with any kind of enjoyment. Thank you for posting this, and hopefully he has more in which he Is the reader.
Nothing is more pleasant than to have someone read to you....
Such a pleasure to listen to this reader! Thank you.
Amazing I find reading so boring and just cba with it, now I can just listen to you and still get things right in my GCSE

Excellently done, calming and perfect to listen to...I been doing housework and don't find it boring at all if I can hear a good story, well told. Thank you 😊
Thank you ! Listening to the audiobook is far better for me as I find reading a boring subject, but can listen for days. This should help for my GCSEs. Also, thank you for putting the timings in the description!

this is my favorite Sherlock Holmes book,an interesting story with a high re-read value with an interesting plot and I very much highly recommend it!
Fabulous
Sir Arthur makes his most common mistake in this story - that of claiming that a dead man's face has an expression of fear or horror or some other wild grimace -in this case a gruesome smile - when in fact, death causes all muscles to relax and fall slack, including facial muscles. A silly and cheap thrill tactic plus being intellectually lazy.
I would like to deduct that gems where in the wooden stump.😅 thank you reader and the author.😊and all involved.
Thank you for this I’m reading this for a class and I am such a slow reader, the assignment is due in two days

what a guy
A very jumbled story that's hard to follow, and is in some parts just ridiculously far fetched. Interesting only in that this is where Watson meets the woman that he will marry.
Audio Book Buzz --- Thanks for posting an audiobook to You Tube. Normally I enjoy many Arthur Conan Doyle / Sherlock Holmes stories/books, but this one is not good at all. There are too many people, the plot has too many branches and stems. {[ The hideous sound/voice of the son of the Dead man is....realllly bad.]] {I saw the TV version of this book in the later 1980's on a PBS channel, and even that was bad.} This book is about as hard to follow as an Agatha Christie novel.

is this the full book
Yes

👀👀
***SPOILER ALERT***
It's funny how Watson was able to find love and Jones gained credit for the investigation, while Holmes was happy just having his cocaine lol
Baked book
Who is the person in the illustration for this posting of the book? The illustration bears zero resemblance to the descriptions of Sherlock Holmes, who reportedly has aquiline features, a hawk-like countenance and most certainly not long hair gathered in a fluffy bun at the back of his neck!
You should try and get a few other peoples voices in it as can get a bit boring. But thanks for sharing it as it is much better then reading as I have dyslexia.
Hi! Thanks for the input. Great to have you here! You can try listening to the dramatic reading of this book. In that version each character is read by a different person. We'll provide the link bellow. Enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/-NO1oYsFB6I/v-deo.html
