Sharpie is one special Horse. To have raced as much as he did and now show how much he has learnt about xcountry. This has got to have been his best round since he started. He never missed a beat whether he had to fiddle or go long. He was super through some of the combinations. Super riding on all of them
Oh my, he really didn't want to stop there at the end. He's no problem giving you extra speed. ^^ Good job, Sharpie. Better luck with show jump next time!
Aww! I’m so so happy to see this, he is just super!! Not to mention, he just wanted to keep going after the finish! Lol what a superb guy, all class! Great job girl, you’re amazing!!💙🤩🤩
Still amazing how you can memorize the path and waypoints on the field. I bet it isn't magic but I'm an absolutely beginner in horse riding so for me it's amazing :)
You get used to learning them. Walking courses helps. And I hope you really enjoy riding as much as I do!! I own a couple of ponies that I do jumpers & hunters with! And I practice XC on occasion. It’s a blast!
You are so amazing! You have such a wonderful life! Thank you so much for the extra footage! I love it when you let us see a little more of the horse life world!
Congratulations on your finish. He was very clever and learning. Great job Elisa Wallace Eventing. Stay Safe and Best Regards from Ontario, Canada, Jenn.
The ears! Always in motion, looking for you. He is learning to lock on though and pricked them forward a few times going in and I thought, goodness he sees it too. What a good Sharps.
Hey elisa You inspire me i started horse jumping almost a year ago and i watched you right before my cross country practice even if im only 11 you are my idle and im also a equestrian
I have to say, you are lucky to continue doing what you enjoy during Covid. Staying active, healthy, and positive, despite the loss of your working student to injury and all that weird stuff that happened all-at-once, last month. 👍
The best for last. Sharpie has so much try. A very brave forward horse and so very little phases him. I just think what my Bongos response to those little vespas riding around would have been. Oh Vey I would have been in the next county or at least in the dirt! I am in love with your chessie. Will we get to see his dressage?
Cross country sounds sooo fun but I don't feel like im good enough to try it though :( as of right now Im a jumper (in training) and then i think im going to learn western because im also interested in barrel racing, my main goal is to event one day.
@@patch-work yeah I definitely do recommend going with a trainer the first few times. They can really help you, riding wise but also mentally sometimes!
@@liekevertegaal5600 definitely! I also would probably have to take her with me beacuse I don't have my own horse sadly I ride hers! :) (like a barn sorta) it's nothing fancy but I love it! My family doesn't have much money but that ok ^ ^
is there a specific reason you don’t ride with gloves, and what kind of reins do you use? whenever i ride my horse without gloves i get bad blisters and rubs
If she didn't there would probably be a lot more injuries lol she probably just does a few laps in different gaits and then does a warm up fence if they have one.
@@clairecakes9860 well yea and ive seen other people in her videos off to the side doing warm up. Just curious to see what she does for her specific animals.
event horses are warmed up right before each discipline, so three separate times for the three disciplines. there is usually a fence for every level so that upper levels can warm up, bn, novice, training, prelim. elisa may also stretch their legs and necks on the ground before she tacks up. i event at a much lower level (novice) but i usually spend 30 minutes warming up for dressage, 20 minutes warming up for stadium and 25 minutes warming up for xc.
@@WallaceEventing indeed he was not rushing his fences and for the exception of one, was comfortable waiting for his distances, oh and the finish, he thought he was only halfway done.🤣 It just seemed to me some of the fences were the same as intermediate...?💜🇺🇸
Yeah the lead was figured out to be important because of balance. Wrong lead= harder to move and turn= less mobility, momentum, and less supple canter and jumps over all
Chloe wordsworth vlogs the correct lead is not as important at the lower levels, but as you get higher in the levels, it becomes more important for the sharper turns
Love how there is people just casually riding around on mini moterbikes😂😂😂
😂😂yeah like it’s a normal thing in every day life 😂😂

Sharpapotomus has always been my favourite of your horses ❤️❤️❤️🐴🐴🐴❤️❤️❤️🐴🐴❤️❤️❤️
He has come such a long way, especially with the narrow fences! :) Great job, Sharpy & Elisa!

All horses through safe and sound! Now you get to breathe!
You know you have made it in this world when your video out ranks my selection to watch the president.

Same!!
Sharpie is almost scary brave. It is good he has you to balance his enthusiasm.
Everyone: vibing and watching.
Me: how do u remember that HUGE course
I am on my way to my horseback riding lesson rn
Kaley Savasuk haha I don’t ride today bc I have a show tmrw and my trainer is riding my horse today. I’m a hunter and show in the 2’3

OMG He was fantastic. !!He didn't rush off. Kept steady ! what a star for the future !!
Thanks for putting these videos out for us to watch!
You both are amazing riders
Sharp is improving so much!:)
I said good boy out loud a few times! He did so great on those combinations!
Brilliant run from start to finish! Sharpie's certainly one hell of a horse!
I like Sharpie a lot! Such a handsome and powerful dude 😍
Little ears twitching. Great job💕💕
Becoming much more adjustable!
I love this horse.
Me too. I have a thing for Chessies anyhow. Sharpie looks so much like my Bongo looked. I loved seeing the world through the frame of those red ears.
Go, Sharpie, go! 💞💞💞
I love a chestnut thoroughbred!
This is very motivational ❤️❤️❤️

Just try it! Often there's tons of different difficulties of fences. You can always just only do some small logs to start off with (that's what I did)
@@liekevertegaal5600 thats awesome! i will definitely talk to my trainer about it and see what she says about it! :)
@@patch-work yeah I definitely do recommend going with a trainer the first few times. They can really help you, riding wise but also mentally sometimes!
Think of it as an exciting eventful hack. Start slowly through some courses until you and your horse feel it instinctually. Have fun, but wear gear!

Elisa. Can you please state the brand of round pen you use for the mustangs. Thx much. Great ride btw. Cheers!❣️🍀
L Wilson Carlisle I don’t know what kind it is. I bought it used.
gosh i just love him
I'm curious what saddle you use on Sharpie?
Are Sharpie and Monson related to Seattle Slew? Just curious. Nice ride. Thanks so much!❤️
munson yes, sharpie i dont think so
I binge watch all your videos and play star stable online ( it's a realistic horse game ♥️💋)
It isnt that realistic at all but still, sso is not so bad 👌
What GoPro do you have and how do you attach it to your helmet?
Super Sharpie🐎
What was “stupid” regarding the loose horse?? lol was hard to tell/see/hear 😂
No one blocked the gate.
I would be flipping out those bikes were a major distraction, they would flip out the hunter shows that's for sure!
I love your riding! But I wish to ride agein
The mini motor bikes, you guys rent those or own and trailer them?
Do you do any warm-ups or stretches with them before hand? If so I would love to see that sometime

Is it just me or were these fences a bit bigger than the usual for sharpie?
No. Where actually easier for him since he was more relaxed.

Is it ever renting to you to just jump over the hood of a car?
Quick question for yall xc riders
Does it matter what lead u r on bc when I get better I want to do eventing ❤️❤️
well yes but not as much as the other phases

I have 5 horse and I ride them for at least 2 hours
You ride each horse for more than 2 hours? That's excessive.
I wanne have horse but i will wen I am 15 or 16
Hi.
Are you going to show the time between you losing the helmet cam and when you got around to getting it from the water?
It was 9 min later
