Had to scramble to get this one out, so apologies if there are any mistakes/things that I missed. Editing the audio was also a bit tough given the length of the video. Please let me know what you think!
Also would you like me to analyze Scotland vs Wales or England vs Italy for the next vid?
Great vid no problem with audio
👍👌
Great video mate. Don't ask us which ones just make it mandatory to bang them out every game :)
No , no issue . Great video and analysis
And also well done Ireland under-20 v France win 37.31 and both Ireland Teams won away.
👍😂🇮🇪
Watch the irish U/20s v France U/20s. Brilliant match. Ireland coming out on top in France again.
Feel like that game would of ended either way depending when the clock went dead both teams very equal
@higuk999 two good teams, but It only matters what the score is after 80 minutes, though.
@@pilgrim3387 for sure just making point it was one of the closest matches I've seen in a long time
Tadhg Byrnes try, the delayed disguised short pass by Crowley was brilliant. At the time i thought it was just awful defending because i didnt actually see the pass live, i think everyones eyes (including mine) had moved away from Byrne thinking he had overrun and would not receive the ball, also Byrnes inward running angle opened a massive gap outside him where Lowe and Henshaw had looped around and looked like the main attacking threat, that half second pass delay and the widening gap outside forced Danty to take a half step out, Crowleys quick look back to James Lowe, it looked like Byrne had already run ahead of Crowley and the defenders were just shifting their focus across to the second line when the almost sleight-of-hand pass was suddenly in Byrnes hands and he has was galloping free. Worth re-watching the subtle elements of that pass again. That try involved so much more than what i saw live. Kind of sums up Irelands attack, never quite sure where the ball is going, options all over the place and defenders end up slightly out of position, attackers tend to get hit with soft shoulders allowing them to get over the gain line nearly every time.
It was just numbers due to good phase play. Danty had to cover two people.

Nice to see a rugby channel put a bit of effort into motion graphics. Well done
For the layperson rugby fan like myself these videos/analysis are excellent. Come on Ireland 🇮🇪!
As someone who isn't super well versed on rugby tactics, it's always nice to see a tactical explanation in an easy way to digest.
You should check out Squidge Rugby too, really break for explaining tactics
@@zacharydwyer896 I watch his videos. They are quite amusing 😃
The brawn over brains tactic no longer works to beat Ireland/Leinster. This textbook La Rochelle/Bok style has proved effective at beating Leinster in the past. Unfortunately that's no longer the case. Ireland/Leinster management and players are wise to the ways and are now exposing the heavier French players around the park. On defense they have focused on chop tables and taking big men down at the gain line as soon as they get the ball. On attack they are exposing the gaps and making the heavier players move around the park more. Ireland have exploited Frances decision to go for bulk over fitness. They went for weight in the forwards which is going to cost you playing against a team as quick as Ireland. For example playing Antonio is a trade off. You will win scrum penalties but concede more tries as he's so slow around the park. The most blatant exposure of Antonio being Keenans try in last years 6 nations. Ireland are evolving their tactics and are neutralizing bigger teams. The addition of Joe McCarthy has also given them a greater edge at the breakdown and gain line.
Great analysis thank you. There’s been quite some analysis of the scrums Ireland lost and the view is that two of those scrums should have been Irish penalties. But unfortunately Porter (who actually scrummed well) has developed a reputation for not scrummaging straight and it seems that refs are now penalising Ireland even when the penalty should go the other way. So a bit of work to be done here.
Excellent technical analysis. Enjoyed that
Great analysis. Very impressed- from an Irishman and rugby fan.
Where have you been? This is great, more videos on Ireland please
Something people overlook is that Ireland ruck speed is largely made possible by the short passing tactics meaning the halfback is at the ruck as soon as it’s formed, nearly to the point JGP sometimes has to stop to let clearers in first
Enjoyable and informative analysis
I'm not nearly as versed as others so these analyses make the game much more to enjoy
Thanks for the upload ❤
Glad to hear that. The reason why I started the channel qas to get these dicussions out to more people.
Lekker! Very gracious, very talented at explaining. Looking forward to more!
Just to reiterate this analysis is exceptional and really nicely put together for the causal fan as well.
Love the visuals
Wonderful analysis. You went through a lot of things that are worth talking about!
This was really enjoyable. Keep up the good work
Really interesting watch. Thank you
Quality video
He gave his medal to his brother Andrew Awesome.
How would Ireland play without Sexton, But my question how would France play without Dupont?
Here is the answer France 17 Ireland 38. Ireland much stronger and fitter🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Accurate analysis. Great video. You did a great job.
Nice analysis!
Great analysis, thank you for posting it!
Impressive analysis well done
Great analysis.
Good video, really good 👍
That's some great analysis - nice one !
fabulous review, great to see the tactics reviewed. Subscribed
Great job, ur analysis
Great analysis as always!!!👍🏻
As an Irish fan I am not worried about playing England. It was either a really good Italian team or a really poor English team.
But fair play to Italy, they played like they could win.
Perhaps a bit of both. Can’t see England coming close to beating Ireland.
@@johannblignaut1966 I would be more worried about Scotland
I wouldn't get too complacent, lad. It's at Twickenham and last year they caused us more trouble than all the rest despite them having a bad tournament.
I'm not a gambling man, but I was very tempted to back Italy against England when I could have gotten 8 to 1. A great price for an improving Italian team against a rudderless English team.
Always worry about beating England ....remember them in the World Cup ?!
Red card season starts again missed it so much nothing but joy its here, so so happy.😂
Excellent analysis! Well done.
As Ireland fan, we also need to remember that most of the game, we play with 1 more player
Loved this.. new subscriber
Really nice analysis, well done and thank you.
Excellent stuff Gain Line. Subscribed.
Roll on grand slam Twickenham St Patrick's wknd
The biggest losing margin for France at home since 1914 apparently
No, SA won in Paris in 1997: 52-10
@jeromelemoine1942 Ah, I thought one of NZ AUS or SA would have done. French media mentioned it probably 6N, then.
@@DM-rp9ik NZ never scored more than 47pts in France (3-47 in 2006) but won many times on french soil with a large point difference (18-38 in 2017; 12-39 in 2009; 6-45 in 2004); other 21st century victories were less spectacular (26-39 in 2000; 19-26 in 2013; 19-24 in 2017...)
Quick ball
i cut off my opponents leg i won the run race, its a red card game ffs
What the actual Fock?
Be fair your opponent cut off his own leg
How come Ireland almost never gets a red card?
Cards often come from teams under pressure resulting in one of them getting a rush of blood to the head and lashing out.
The first card France got was a clear red and they were let off lightly with a yellow.
Imagine, tackling properly being part of the modern game, crazy stuff altogether.😂😂
Yes@@RazorMouth , and it was a South African by the name of Paul Willemse who doesn't know how to tackle and got himself a ban. Absolutely disgraceful to collide shoulder to face and then shoulder to throat...He's gonna learn though.
Trying to be clever are you ?
Can you tell me what the score was with 15 v 15 on the field
