What I know of Neuron is that he is recreating his childhood. At 10 he went to dance school but at 13 he became the youngest member of Neuron, a street dance group as the youngest member. He gives Neuron all the credit for starting him out and teaching so many things about being a Korean street dancer. In the documentary, he goes back to meet them and thank them, and they are so proud of him. Other episodes will show him in different cities expanding his knowledge.
Neuron is the name of J-Hope’s dance crew from Gwangju, his hometown, before he debuted for BTS. They competed at national street dance competitions.

man I'm not lying at all, I'm just telling the truth, man the armys are not the same, Jhope released this mv yesterday it was supposed to have a maximum of 10 million views it only has 2.7 but still I thank these real armys, who don't they are 0T6 for all the effort and support. The album is by hope and they only knew about jungkook in their collaboration together, the maknae line gets a lot more attention, jungkook especially. The older ones do incredible work but they don't get the same attention as the younger ones, even when promoting hope's documentary they were talking about jk in the comments, this favoritism is unbearable

Neuron does have a very important meaning actually. So as y’all probably already know, Hoseok was a street dancer before he joined Bangtan, he danced almost all his life. Ever since he was a kid, he even won awards at local competitions. Anyway he later became a street dancer and started dancing on the streets, with a group called Neuron, so he was in a dance group before BTS.
Hope on the street is the name of the album and the album is about him returning and appreciating his roots of dancing. Which is why he also filmed a docu-series of him visiting different cities and dancing on the streets.
So that’s why the album’s name is called Hope on the street, and that’s also why the main track itself is called Neuron, because of his street dance roots.

Hobi never disappoints!! Love his whole album. In Neuron I especially love the voice of Yoon-mirae. She and her husband Tiger JK are members of MFBTY, which is a Hip Hop group that are good friends with BTS and have always supported them. They have great music too- maybe later on you can check them out. By the way, I congratulate Ilkim for learning so fast to introduce himself in Korean 🥰😊💜💜💜

NEURON is the name of the dance group that welcomed him and supported his passion for dance before joining BTS. Their story is really nice, J-hope didn't have money to pay for dance classes and they took him in. You can see the story behind each song in the documentary that J-hope prepared (in prime video).💜

I've watched all six episodes of Hope on the Street. You'd like it a lot, I think. Hobi wanted to go back to his roots.There's a line in the lyrics about firing up neurons. And the wordplay works because neuron and new run (which I interpret as running towards the dream that never stops) are near homophones. As others have already pointed out, Hobi was a member of Neuron. This dance crew is still active.
