The Primemutton, fresh from a City victory at Tottenham, was suddenly alerted to a very interesting promotion, run by a company called CityStack in London.
For £25 you can buy a beer mat which gets you 10 x £10 discounts at over 50 independent London pubs on spends of food and drink of over £20 , so £100 of savings.
This sounded too good to be true, and also of high importance was the quality of the bars and the beer served. Having been invited to check the scheme and the pubs out , it would have been rude to refuse.

I wasn’t sure what I was going to get when I tried out the pubs associated with this promotion, but I was pleasantly surprised, 4 good pubs with a great atmosphere, though I’d have preferred more than one cask offering at the second. If you visit London pubs this is well worth checking out and would make a nice gift for anyone who does like a pint or a meal at the pub. There are some good old fashioned local boozers in Clerkenwell (not on this vlog). If you want to visit a traditional locals pub close to the centre of London then the Shakespeares Head, Britannia and the Horseshoe in EC1 fit the bill.
