Just saved the video for my future problems ! Love having my own do-it-yourself videos!
Stay tuned I will have more videos on the PTs coming, I have just had a bit of a lag in that content but I definitely plan to keep adding to the playlist.
I'm a big guy and I can change all the bulbs from the access panel on my 2006 PT Cruiser GT turbo convertible.
The high beam is tight, but it can be done.
Do you have a video of changing the headlight assembly? I’ve been planning on ordering some new ones soon to put in after Winter.
Sorry I do not yet but I will do that at some point. They are not fun because you have to remove the bumper cover to get them out. Otherwise they are just held in with 4 10mm nuts.
Mine is not a Turbo maybe that is it I bought the car brand new and have changed my own battery about 5 or 6 times now! So it came from the factory like that I live in the USA It is under the air filter! I have to take the air filter off in order to get to the battery! I wish I could send a picture! LOL It is true Like I said maybe it is because you have a turbo mine is plain!
That is the thing I have had several non-turbo PTs as well and the battery is in the exact same place, I have never seen one in a different place, but being a first year car I could see there being a difference in yours.
Maybe that's it . Maybe I can make a video upload it and send it to you! I used to have a youtube channel years ago so that wouldn't be a problem if you wanted to see it! Have a good week!
@Davidlinsay64 That's okay, I believe you. I don't want to put you through that trouble.
OK, I am retired so it wouldn't be a big deal! Maybe I will just for the fun of it! I just turned over 30.000 miles still looks brand new!@@CarswithNash
What year is that? My battery is not in the front like yours! I have a 2001
This is a 2003. I have not had a 2001 but I thought the battery was in the same location just with a different style hold down?
I just looked at Google images and the battery should still be in the same location on a 2001 unless somebody has done a custom relocation. The airbox is probably covering it as it comes out over top the battery on some models.
@@CarswithNash No my Battery sets back about 14 inches from where your battery is! almost in the middle of the motor close to the fender! Nowhere close to your battery!
@Davidlinsay64 Is it a European model PT perhaps? Or does it have a modified air intake and perhaps somebody relocated the battery to accommodate it? In any case it sounds like it might be easier for you to change your headlight bulbs on your car.
Perfect. Came in handy to change my low beam bulb on the passenger side.
