I haven't been to Anchorage since I lived there in the mid 80s, and while it may look a bit different, if this video is any indication, it certainly feels the same.
Just started up a walking channel in Philadelphia, PA, all the way over here on the east coast. Searching for inspiration and found your channel. Thank you for posting.
This walking tour looks better and has more positive comments than a one I watched that was posted in May 2022. It had lots of bad comments, it looked bleak. probably bc it came out when covid was getting over
I thought it was on a Sunday too. But it sounded like they were doing construction work on that Presbyterian church on 10th Avenue. Also, the courthouse parking lot was pretty full, so it looks like a weekday. Thanks for the nice tour. I grew up downtown and used to walk and bike all over that area. Good memories.
Greetings from Sweden. Anchorage is defenitly on my list when covid is over, do you know if Anchorage has any day-guides that takes you outside city for sightsseing? stay safe :)
@@luuchoo93 it is sad that nowadays people might be offended so easily. I just said that it seems to me, i do not argue with no one, every person has his own opinion and it is just an opinion, not a fact.
@@luuchoo93 No one offended by that lol,btw America is the whole continent not just United States,Alaska is american even if they aren't part of the U.S.
I love downtown Anchorage, with "life" going on...people, traffic...looks eerie, desolate without them.🤔 Autumn foliage is beautiful!
I would really like returning to Anchorage someday. I enlisted in US Air Force at Elmendorf AFB at age 17. :)
Nice place! I wish oneday i can live there. What a peace place.
great town

I like it. But I wonder, was this on a Sunday?
I honestly can’t recall. it was a quiet day for sure

Army Navy surplus . Best place in Anchorage to get cold weather gear.
Such a difference from Vancouver but the worlds greatest wilderness on their doorstep
Isn't there anywhere to walk along the shore? I only saw it behind the railroad
9:32 Humpy's - Some of the best crab cakes I have ever had.
looks nice to me
Is this filmed on a Sunday? It's a ghost town. I've seen several videos of this city being way more active.
Shellyman Studios I’m scared of ghosts. Can you hold me in your arms and never let go?
@@eddiew2325 Ghosts are real! Haha!

Yes they have lots of tour companies operating in Anchorage. I've used Salmon Berry and would recommend them. www.salmonberrytours.com
Asslamu alaikum, greetings to islamic republic of Sweden🤗
TIL that Alaska has civilization and is nearly 2.5x the size of Texas still looks cold in this city lol
did you know alaska has the largest concentration of cubans outside of cuba?
@@eddiew2325 That would be Florida.
@@BillViolator hehe
Of course, cuz it's A l a s k aaa. What do you expect of it in October
Even without the snow, it still looks VERY cold 🥶
Maybe it’s cold due to the cold weather
Anchorage is not cold. Prudhoe Bay IS cold.
Michael Arty is Prodhoe Bay cold mainly because of the weather or the Eskimos?
Joseph if you don’t think Eskimos are capable of controlling the weather then I don’t know what else to tell you Joseph
Wherever you get cold places the are normally warm heated people eh?
Voy de vacaciones a Anchorage Ak a inicio de invierno de éste año, saludos desde Sinaloa México...

Espero que te diviertas.
21:02 is this a shoot fire?
Construction site
No, it looks like its the construction site in 21:29
thank you for the video :) Don't know why, but it always seems to me Alaska is not a part of the US, more like an Independent country.
Some Alaskans might be offended by this. They’re just as Americans as everyone else in the States

Wow. You started out in the worst part of the city.
Alaska's Beauty gets more definition and clarity in the Fall as it shows in this video. 🫠
You don't talk enough, calling out the stores and the history of the city
hi rebecca did you know your last name is Walker?
There are no people on the roads, only a few. empty city. ghost town

you should visit fifith avenue mall then. its the largest mall in alaska
Where are people
American cities always feel so empty with no one walking around, using cars instead.
