@Teawby I'm a naval architect and own a 1939 Elco yacht 53ft. It had been taken over by the US Navy during WWII and used as a sub-chaser, a 50cal gun was mounted on the front deck. Where are your PT's located? I didn't think there were more than 1 or 2 that were still operational. How many PT's remain? I'm very proud of Elco PT's. Visited ELCO at Bayonne, NJ, the large building (Elco Naval Division) and huge crane that where there until a few years ago. Understand now gone. Crane moved nearby
in 2004/2005 they were installed if I remember correctly. It was a long time ago she had the isottas, before us a private person owned this yacht and he had 2 scania diesels installed. Between 1958-1973 she was at service with the isottas. T26, 46 and T38 still have the original Isotta petrol engines.
@henrynevins Great to hear we are not alone out there! We are located in Sweden and have 5 pt boats remaining and still functional. There are more out there but some of them are restored as houseboats etc.

Love this boat not many weeks ago. Second time for me but I'm still amazed by the effortless acceleration :P Those engines are incredible :D

They are built in Sweden by Kockums and the designer was Curt Borgenstam.
Isotta Fraschini Asso 1000 / CRM W18 (they are the same engine adapted to different fuel)

New engines mate, Originally yes, Isotta petrol. Now we have CRM Diesel engines, they we changed cause of the durability, economics and performence.
