      Funny finding orchids for sale has been difficult. I want to put orchids in our trees but they have been not easy to find in the local garden centres.

    how do you make the water not stink? ours is getting a kind of soilish kind of mildewish smell. I would describe as pond waterish

      I'm not recycling the water. It drains away, and fresh water is sprayed each time the irrigation system comes on.

    Why don’t you get a sun mesh shade for the plant wall to protect the plants at the very top.

      I've planted some rubber trees nearby that are growing and spreading their canopy out which will provide natural shade.

      Thanks! Yea it’s been very hot time of year lately. And some big thunderstorms. Great humidity for the plants but the winds can be quite damaging.

    Thanks for sharing this! May I know where you bought your felt? Been looking for it but want to make sure I get the correct one. Thanks in advance!

      In the Philippines I purchased the felt on Lazada, it’s just normal craft felt nothing special, sold by the yard.

    Definitely an inspiration to see fellow biophiliacs doing their thing. I'm in south africa and also draw inspiration from French botanist peter blanc who has mastered the art of using felt on vertical gardens. Fro. South Africa.

      Yes I have found the felt to be a great medium to retain the moisture and increase humidity around the roots.

    this is pretty cool to see, I was wondering how you fertilize the plants or give them food if the roots are just running freely along the wall? Do you mist them with fertilizer?

    • @AlvieraLiving
      @AlvieraLiving  Рік тому

      Yes I will occasionally spray fertiliser a couple of times a year during their growing season.
