It's so fucking true though. Theo has this aloof persona but his observational comedy is some of the best. It wasn't my first thought when Bobby told that story, but Theo is absolutely right. There's a certain leather smell in a mom's closet if she keeps high heels in there. I immediately knew the exact smell he was referring to. And that wasn't some formed bit, that was off-the-cuff response to a story in real time. You can't teach or learn that

I just used a mouse repellant sound guys and it came out of my closet a baby well i caught it and used it to lure its mother in to save it. I caught the big one and put it in a glass jar and just kill the small one and made it watch now I’m leaving it in the jar so it slowly torture. They will learn not to come into my house they ruined a whole box of pop tarts it was literally all i had to eat i am thinking abt getting it rlly close to die and letting some air in feeding it and do it again for months or until it just give up and stop eating so the misery will end. I am only gonna feed it pop tarts so maybe it will understand why I’m doing this they need to learn they can’t ruin ur food if we release or kill quick they will never learn guys. Lol dudes right. Theo plays dumb to create another layer of dissonance in the joke. Its not an opinion, its in comedians call n response repertoire. Norm McDonald made a whole career of pretending he didn't grasp logic, specious reasoning etc as his character was that person we all know who is super literal. Theo n Norm are the opposite of not getting context n subtext, they see all angles n use their feigned ignorance to help the teller play them into the telling.
