Thanks so much, Deb! I'm so glad my 'talking out loud' helps you, I think it's good to know why I might or might not do a move, or how I might recover from one if it's not what I wanted... it's what's real in wire wrapping! ;) I appreciate you watching!
Thank you. I knew how to do the basic wrap, but you ave given me the tools to take this type of wrap to the next level. You are softly spoken, patient, and very slow, giving the viewer time to see exactly what is going on, and to fully understand the methods, and how you are manipulating the wire. You are a wonderful teacher, and I applaud you for taking time out to help others to share your amazing design and talent. A million thank tous , bravo !
Beautiful. Id be lost in the world of wire wire wrapping if it wasn’t for all your time for us. Your patients taking us through step-by-step as you go along. Giving the tips were to hold the wire n chab, bend the wire, how to position our jewelry. There’s so much you give and US KNOWING we can ACCOMPLISH THIS ALSO. Thank you so much, Connie T.
Hey friends! I hope you're having a good time with this one... please make sure you are watching in High Definition, I record all of my videos in HD. The youtube controller is at the bottom right of your video player, you can set the Video Quality it to 1080 for HD. If it looks 'fuzzy', please check your settings.
I really enjoyed watching you make this wrap. I am not actively wrapping yet, just watching as many basic videos as possible to make sure I am on the right path. I really, really enjoyed this one!😊
Thank you so much for your tutorial, you are very talented, and make beautiful designs. Thank you for the step by step instructions, that explains it all very clearly. Thank you
Thank you. This was a wonderful step by step tutorial. You've alayed my fears of wrapping cabochons. Also, your voice was very soothing, reminding me to relax into the project.❤
Wire is so much fun. I personally am not fond of highly textured pieces. I like simple, classic beauty with the gemstone being the star. This is a very fluid, elegant wrap!
Hello lovely. Thank you very much for the video! For us the beginners is very helpful because the video is combined with the explanations. Amazing wrap. Thank you very much once again!!! A huge hug from far away.
I am having a great morning laugh at you involving your self with your work thank you from this old lady on the island. You are a great teacher. GOD BLESS❤❤😊😊😅
A gorgeous pendant and who would know that this is a beginners piece?! That bead just finishes it off and covers the 'hole' beautifully, hiding those wire behind. Love it ! Thank you so much for sharing all your expertise! It is much appreciated! 💕
Glad it was helpful, Donna, welcome to my channel! Please remember to subscribe if you've not already, I post about every week. So glad you're here! Thanks for watching!
Another great tute! 💜Neat trick to give the stone a little seat! It may be basics but ever so helpful! Love the tips along the way for design choices! Thank you for cutting a wire too short lol, nice problem solving tip. Great design! Thanks for sharing 🙏
Ijust ❤ your tutorials n learn so much. When i hammer my wire softly ( I believe or else won’t flatten) n pull down but still get nicks on the other side. What do you think I’m doing wrong???? Practice or put a hard book cover in between to start. Do you have a tutorial for it. You explain everything. Connie❤
If I'm reading this right... you're getting nics on the opposite side that you're hammering? "... but still get nicks on the other side...." if this is so, and the nicks are not on your hammered side, then it's your bench block... if it's pitted or if it has debris on it, the underside of the metal can definitely get scared as well. I've never tried anything between my hammer and the metal, I feel you'll get texture on the metal if you're hammering over towels or cardboard anyway... but again, I've not tried that. Please try to tell me a bit more detail Connie, thank you!
@@PerfectlyTwistedJewelry i do have scratches on my block. I did just get an adrenal. I’ll research more on how to use to flatten your wire with it. That should be okay wouldn’t you think so? I want to invest in some good quality tools, rock tumbler n how many yards or ft. is a pound or the rio granda wire you use. ?
Thanks you for all you do for us amateurs! May I ask where you got your pad to at has the grid? I think that would help me a lot! Many thanks again, you are a wonderful artist and teacher!
That is a beautiful frame Izzy. A video I would like to see or open for discussion: which stones are too soft to patina (darken the wire). I have a couple of opals and amber and I am afraid to patina the wire around them. I am cannot wait to try making this bezel. :)
Thanks again, Genni! I have both opals and ambers... if you can wait, I can make a video using my material to make sure you don't ruin yours. I've done it before, but I don't dip the pendant, I use a small brush and paint the LOS solution onto the wires.... that's the easy part. The harder part is polishing them out without scratching your very soft amber or opal. Let me give this better thought on how to show us what I do. I hope that at least helps for now. Thanks again!
Okay Genni, I am making a tutorial with a sterling silver and ethiopian opal... this is the one where I show you how to frame it so you can patina, polish and then put the stone back in. You'd do an Amber the same way. It'll be up by Sunday at the latest. 💞
The turquoise handles are called Xuron and they're a wonderful set of tools. I do sell most of the tools and supplies I use (except wire and rocks) on my website in my Amazon Associates store... here is the link, the pliers are there also. Thank you in advance for your support! www.perfectlytwistedjewelry.com/buy-tools-and-supplies.html
Thank you for this. It helped a lot. I made something similar. i just finished a little different. I have a question. Mine tilts when I'm wearing it. I noticed a lot of my wrapped pendants do. Is there a trick to have it so it's not tilty?
Hi Andrea! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and that it was helpful to you. Can you please give me more detail about what you mean by 'tilty'? Do you mean it rolls over on the chain? Or do you mean it doesn't hang straight down from the bale? If you have a picture, you can send it to me on Facebook (I so wish UA-cam would make it so we can post a picture to comments here). If it is 'rolling' over on the chest, meaning the backside keeps ending up in front, then what you can do is flare out the side wires more when you bring them down and back (make broader 'wings'), that will stabilize a tall narrow stone or one that has a point on the back like a faceted stone. If it doesn't hang straight down from the bale, then use nylon jaw or wide flat nose pliers, handle it from the back of the bale, grip the bale at the 'neck' of the pendant and make small careful correction to it if it's slanted or something. So with that... tell me more about what's happening when you wear them and they're tilting, maybe I can give a bit more help. xoxo
Hi there, I am just starting to wire weave and wondered if you have a list of wire types/sizes that I should start with? Also, how do you sell your jewelry creations?
Hi thanks for watching, Aleita... regarding what wire types/sizes to start with... really depends on what type of wire wrap jewelry you want to create. If you are working my patterns, then I use 18 gauge, 20 gauge for many frames, both round and square wires, I use only Dead Soft wires, for weaving I like to use 28g and sometimes 26g, for ties, I like to use 22g half round wire many times... you should start perhaps, with figuring out what style you like best, dainty, big jewelry, hammered and layered, weaving?? This makes a difference as to what and how much wire you keep onhand. Regarding selling it... many of us sell online, at shows, through private customers, or all of the above most of the time. Hope that helps! Enjoy!
I like the fact that you are thinking out loud as you create and taking your time experamenting as you go explaining what and why you are doing it.
Thanks so much, Deb! I'm so glad my 'talking out loud' helps you, I think it's good to know why I might or might not do a move, or how I might recover from one if it's not what I wanted... it's what's real in wire wrapping! ;)
