A good point but he playing single battle. He wants to use goku mid at his best during the beginning. Transforming take skill points while he can use that for wild sense or sparkling mode.
That’s good for team battles due to DP cost and the stat boost but as the other guy said it’s different in single matches, they are very quick, you’re better off starting in transformations.
