Nice vid Phil. Re putting the smaller fish in the main pond. Not sure if you've done it before but the only problem I came across with that was that all the poop collected at the bottom of the net and really wasn't that easy to remove.
Yes, had that exact problem plus the big fish kept attacking the net for the food the little ones didn’t eat straight away. Think I’m going to try and keep the grow on going through the winter🤞
Nice work Phil 👍, hopefully that will do the job over winter better for you and the fish. Us outdoory people always hate this time of year dark and dismal the countdown for spring has already started with me hope we get an early one 🤞🤞. Gwen 🧓
Nice one Phil, that should keep the chill off grow-on over winter… 👍🏼 Likewise, in between water changes, I use a long reach aquarium gravel cleaner, with the manual in-line hand pump, to syphon a load of 💩 out the system…. 😊👍🏼👍🏼
@ Agreed Phil, it absolutely has got to help. Removing a whole load of 💩 from decaying in the filter, in between actual clean outs and water changes. 👍🏼
Cheers buddy, I’m still trying to drag the season on as long as possible but must admit I’m struggling to do anything after work now that the evenings are drawing in😢
We've not filled the pond yet, leaving that till Feb/March. Starting the pergola and polycarbonate surround next week then plumbing can be done in the dry.
Polytunnel looks great and fits well over your grow on pond and filters. Hopefully it survives the winter. With all the snow we get here over during the winter one like that wouldn't make it past the first snowfall. 🌨 We get so much and it is often extremely wet and heavy. A year ago a heavy snowfall caused my aluminum and polycarb gazebo to completely collapse and it was a lot stronger than a polytunnel. Ended up having to scrap the entire thing.😢😢
Love the new polytunnel mate, I didn't know they made them that small. Wonder if they have one to fit my pond? Now look what you've started 🤣🤣Take care mate, Terry.
Ps when you boil easy pod if you leave waste valve open when you turn pump back on it swills the bottom out lovely only need it open for around 10- 15 seconds job done
Good idea with that poly tunnel Phil should help keep wind chill off the grow on
I though it was definitely worth a try and was cheap as chips so not a lot to loose😊👍

Ive had s polytunnel over my pond for 2 yrs it worked a treat until poles rotted but they look much better now on the one you got 👍
I’ll be happy if mine last 2 years😊👍
Great video Phil 👍
Good idea with the Poly Tunnel.
Are you going to add a light or two above the EZ and/or the Easypod?
Hope you're well.
Cheers Keith, yes am going to add a light or two as it’s too dark to do anything in the evening now🙁

Yes, hate the way the gloom and short daylight hours reduce what we can do outdoors, even the dog is wondering why his walks are being cut short😊

Quick and easy isn’t it👍. Think it’s got to help the O/all efficiency of the filter😊👍

Looking good Phil, it is a horrible time of year pond and garden wise. Good to see your pond monitor is still giving accurate readings

Looking good phil 👍 I did tell Craig I had greenhouse that make, had no problems for years till the snow flattered it.😢 Nice job my friend 👏🐟
I’ll be happy if mine gets me through this winter, after all it was only £50😊👍
Top job pair of you both tunnels looking ace
Definitely a cheap and cheerful solution😊👍

Cheers Terry👍. Cheap as chips on Amazon and they so a huge range of sizes so definitely worth a look😊👍
TOP JOB PHIL, well done if i were in your position i would get some pipe or conduit clips and screw the frame to the decking. Belt and bracers. 👍👏🙏
Excellent suggestion, I’ll order some pipe clips while your suggestion is fresh in my mind😊👍

Excellent tip, I’ll definitely be trying that, thank you😊👍
