@@spartan_warrior5927 Negan knew that that’s why Negan and Ricks first encounter involved Negan breaking Ricks spirit remember he was waiting for that look of submission knowing his whole family and community would die bloody based on his decision. Carl never showed submission with his eyes he was scowling with rage 😡 it’s what he picked up off Rick after biting out Joes throat and stabbing the other guy. That dog mentality is what Negan likes about keeping Carl and Daryl alive. The eyes chico they never lie 🥷🏻
And guess what ? It turned out to be a cool experience for him 😊
Fun (ny) Fact: I saw on Talking Dead that Jeffrey Dean Morgan wanted Olivia to really slap him for the real effect however she slapped him so hard it really startled him After the take she said are you alright and he and the crew just laughed😆
Even when unexpected shit happens Negan’s ability to reassess situations and stay calm is really quite impressive Even though this wasn’t supposed to happen he still knows exactly what he’s doing.
Negan is a master manipulator He’s charming and charismatic but he’s cold and calculating He’s a snake with two heads He’s got a twisted sense of what he believes is the true path He’s an interesting character to watch because you love and hate him but you can’t keep your eyes off of him.
You noticed those characters are named Amber and Mark. A.K.A the toxic couple from Invincible😂😂😂
Negan genuinely took a liking to Carl and seemed to be trying to groom him like a prodigy him being Rick’s son is probably a bonus too taking him and making him his own son Carl has a dark side but has come through it after the prison.
Negan killed our boys Glenn and Abraham and is messed up on how he sees things but has a weakness for kids especially one like Carl Carl’s punishment was an actual song.
Jason needs Michone’s katana or something to defend himself from Negan/Chance lol 😂
Comic Comparisons : Everything That happens in the Sanctuary (Negan’s compound) is almost line for line scene for scene ripped straight from the comics Everything was done so well Carl lighting up Saviors the iron scene Carl unwrapping his face the singing In the end Negan does go to Alexandria but not the way it is in the show.
In the comics Negan hands Carl back to Rick unharmed Negan comes back in a few days to collect his offering.
The scene with Rosita and Eugene doesn’t happen in the comics.
While the Governor’s true evil colours where unbeknownst to the residents of Woodbury the Saviors are very much aware how Negan is like and they fear him The Governor was a politician Negan is an emperor.
Okay to be honest, the whole negan thing wasn't dwight's fault, his thing with daryl was unconnected to the rest of the group, it was the satellite attack and biker deaths that lead to this not dwight himself.
Could you imagine if Abraham was still alive how great a one on one convo he and Negan would have Those two along with Merle have the best one liners in the whole show It’s a shame we never got to see it.

Such a brilliant episode and sets up soooo much for not just what happens next, but other stuff further down the line. This show is so organic in the making, it has roots and shoots of growth everywhere! Chance makes a very intertesting take on Negan. Will be very interesting to see if he's got any of THAT right!

Negan and carls interactions are some of my favorite moments in the comic book. Carls basically setup to be the successor to the saviors. Its alot diff in the show though.

Carl wasn't crying when he got shot nor when he was about to have his arm chopped off, he was crying here coz he felt exposed nd humiliated. He reacts less to pain nd death than to grief nd humiliation.
I really enjoyed this Negan centric episode We get to see just how sadistic egotistical and narcissistic he really is Combine this with his natural charm and understanding of human nature and you get a very bad and dangerous guy He looks at someone and figures out how to use them for his own ends It’s interesting that he sees something in Daryl and Carl both that he respects Probably because everyone else is too afraid of him to ever dare do resist Great reactions Jason And Chance.

Damn.. love yall but stop talking so much or atleast so loudly during dialogue and you'll have your answers. Mark was Amber's boyfriend before she got with Negan. Negans rules for his wives, they do not have to be with him but they will have to go back to their jobs they had before being with him, they can do whatever they want, they can leave Negan, they can not cheat on Negan. Negan won't ever hurt the wives but he will punish who the wives cheated with.

@@soggynugz he’s directly involved in inciting that one guys rage who ends up killing his father with that sword (an act that while Rick couldn’t predict was still caused by him), his mother is killed during an attack that Rick actively provoked, his brother was killed also from the same attack I believe...
So yea... Rick played a major hand in his entire family’s deaths and the idea that he “saved” any of them is false. Before Rick showed up. Alexandria was a literal paradise FILLED with people. By the end of even the first season of Rick and his group being there. More then half of them are dead, their leaders besides this guy are dead and Ricks group had effectively taking over as the leaders...
Ironically a move very similar to the Governor who takes over his right hand mans group to attack the Prison again with... only difference is that Rick didn’t actively kill the mother himself for power. He just dominated her when she was in a vulnerable state (having lost her husband) and took over with promises of “saving” them. To which he then got her killed by making the decisions that lead to her death. A concept again similar to the Governor who lead those people on the second attack on the prison to all of their deaths...
