The Return was great. Even with similar ideas. I really and truly disliked once and Always.
I don't understand why Power Rangers can't do "mature" storylines. Heisei Kamen Rider did it relatively well.
@@Atlanticocean.chihuahuadumbs executives, pr did mature stories in time force and rpm, but the executives see that mmpr makes the most money and try to make the show more like that, except they misunderstand what people even liked about mmpr to begin with.
They do in the comics and past seasons like Time Force and RPM or even Wild Force have some dark moments with Cole's parents killed by Master Org so they did do things that are "mature"or have dark moments but that doesn't meant to try and be edgy. I swear you Sentai/ Tokusatsu nerds are annoying

Again who cares about anything after MMPR. It made perfect sense to ignore all crap after MMPR!
It's not even a competition, The Return is way better and it's what Once and Always should have been instead. But Once and Always wasn't bad either and i missed seeing Zack and Billy back in action and I also like Kat mentioned her's and Tommy's son JJ so that was really nice, but i wish we have to OG team.
I see Power Ranger fanboy are still scurrying for their crumbs. Well, to be frank... it's pathetic, it's been pathetic, and that's why you guys don't really get anything.

@@terrencehill502 Yeah, mediocre comic books. A failed movie franchise, toyline, etc. Power Rangers failed to do what Sentai does and that is to stay relevant. Power Rangers is only for nostalgia losers. That's why it's always MMPR hahaha

@@Atlanticocean.chihuahuathe comics are better than the movies, better than any recent PR Sentai or Kamen Rider series. We're still getting toys for Power Rangers(not from Hasbro), and nostalgia got nothing to do with why the Boom Comics are successful regardless if it's just MMPR.

I didn't like Mihn that much either I would have preferred if she realized she wasn't meant to be a Power Ranger and gave the morpher back to Aisha
To be honest, I prefer The Return alot more than Once and Always a Ranger.
The Return: Good depth, interesting story, great artwork.
Once and Always: "HELP! HELP! HELP! THEY'RE AFTER MY BOYFRIEND!!!!"

The Return was better. O&A was nothing but David Yost worship where it was obvious him and Simon were getting it on behind the scenes.
Also that Zyuranger easter egg tho!
You should do a review of MMPR Rita rewind which could be a sequel to once and always as a What if.
Once and Always is fine but I wish there was more for it.
The Return is something I wasn't initially excited for but it was better than expected.
What was even wrong with Once and Always. Grant it, it’s not perfect, but it’s a solid decent tribute, great lineup, to the MMPR team and Minh is a great addition.
But no Jason, Kimberly, no Tommy(RIP JDF) with the original teams and have to awkwardly have to use the replacements for this reunion it just felt lackluster to me. But it wasn't bad, i did missed Zack and Billy so that was nice
And,I'm fine with them not returning and that they got rocky and kat(especially the circumstances/situation for why they cant come back).
Once and Always was good for what they had to work with. I wish it was longer and had some fights between Tanya and Rita. If ASJ, JDF and AJJ came back I wonder what the story would’ve been. Or if Thuy never died what would the anniversary look like. I liked Minh but there were moments the acting was off. I didn’t really mind those as she’s not an actress. She’s a martial artist. Once and Always should’ve been the final ending of the franchise and not that dumpster fire Cosmic Fury.
The Return was a good story but I wish it was a bit longer so they could go deeper into things such as differences in the timeline like how did they handle things that their replacements did etc.
As for why the Green Ranger powers weren't weak, in my head, I'm thinking Jason was able to get the green candle from the dark dimension and saved Tommy's powers.

The Return if all the main cast was alive & able to do it. Once & always was good with Minh but they have limited to do with the actors they had were able to come back. 😊

While O&A isn't perfect I feel it's unfair to compare it to the comic cause the comic doesn't have the limitations to its story as the tv episode has and the comic story would be very different if it was live action.
Plus I'd rather O&A as the 30th story since it takes place in rhe same universe as we been watching for 30 years unlike The Return.
No Disney era stunts, this was supposed to be PR from the 90s.

Too bad the "tribute" was a waist and disrespectful to the Original Mighty Morphin team. The Return treats the Original Rangers with respect unlike that mediocre so called "30th anniversary"
Boukenger was an awesome 30th anniversary! The designs were great with awesome homages. Too bad Power Rangers can't do the same...😅
O&A was nothing but David Yost fanfiction and his acting was the worst. The Return had more effort and was written well.
