I just wanted to correct something about the raked or not raked wingtips on the 777.
777-200 ( 1st model in the row ) : No winglets
777-200 ER ( like BA flies them ) : No winglets
777-200 LR ( Emirates, Turkmenistan, Air India ) : raked wingtips like the - 300 ER
777-200 F : raked wingtips
777-300 ER ( the beast ) : raked wingtips.
Boeing added them for less fuel burn and longer range. The -200 LR flies up to 17,500 km still. The first - 200's only 9.500....

I was on board the virgin atlantic dreamliner that landed at 9.27. At the point we landed I said to my son its a dream of mine to feature on big jet TV on a landing plane. Thank you for making my dream come true
Permission to share part of this. Winds were gnarly today had to muscle the last 1,000ft cause of all the sheary winds. Made for a fun time. Cheers. (The 767 from 10:00am)

One stong suggestion would be for the crew to take, and pass, a private pilot ground course. This will clear up so much of their views of what's happening in the landing process and what's needed to work in cross winds and wind sheer.
This will help tremendiously with getting the right descriptions and comments.

This partly reminds me of driving on the 405 freeway near LAX, and in completely calm weather seeing a dozen aircraft on approach, lined up from the east in a near perfect straight line. Lovely to see.

Errr…crabbing is definitely not a natural (instinctive) state that the aircraft adopts. The pilots are the ones who set the correct heading to fly a required track (course).
You also missed a few oppos to compare the Trent 700 (VS A330s) to the V2500 on the trailer. For what it’s worth, I believe you are correct that the engine on the trolley was a V2500; it was way too small to be a trent.
Lastly, cyclones, hurricanes and typhoons are all the same thing. The distinction between them is purely geographical, ie what part of the world they occur in.

Do they crab in to the wind automatically when being flown manually? I know autopilots cater for wind when active but pilots have to when flying manually?
