Beautiful! Is that an opal in the center? I'd love to know how to work opals, some fellow glass workers say they hold condensation so working with them is diffucult? Not sure how true that is but was wondering
watch what he did, he dropped one into the tube, encased it, then pulled off any impurities or bubbles with a spare rod of clear. boom- use your imagination from there.

Yeah the light from one end of the glass travels really well to the other end. Kinda like fiber optic wire.
