This OST is in my opinion your best work. All songs have a similar feel/atmosphere and they fit together masterfully. The attention to detail is beyond incredible while the writing remains impeccable. I love it so much! Keep it up! This album will certainly join my "listen it all in order" stuff!

While this might have a bit of competition with "they might be dead", "poderosa", and "om mani padme hum part 2" im confident that this will remain my favourite risk of rain song because of how inspiring, somewhat sad this song is. It gives me the feeling of rising up and overcoming anything.
These songs keep getting better. Every one you release seems to be better than the last. In this case it feels like köppen mixed with the rain formerly known as purple and precipitation from RoR1. In any case, few are as talented as you are in their ability to conpose music into feelings.
I love the title theming. Focusing on works of more existential horror some of which has antagonists that are close beyond comprehension. It's just SO PERFECT for the DLC! I also love the new tracks, probably now my new favorites in the game. I like just how intense some of them feel.
I do not care if it plays on Sulfur Pools, this is the Railgunner theme. When I hear other songs from the OST, I think of the stage they play on. When I hear this one, I just see a linear graph of enemies killed per second (k=½s), and see railgunner shooting and reloading.
Personally, I always thought that Having Fallen, it was Blood was more of Railgunner's theme, though this one definitely works too. I think it fits a bit better for Acrid imo, more ripping and violent use of a guitar

What a great concept! That opening quote really sets the tone for the Survivors, too--they start off very weak, an ant against a swarm of monsters and terrors...but from its meager, fragile origins, it rapidly becomes a terror that changes everything.
Nice leitmotif to Reaped by Death in this song. It's awesome to hear some references to Deadbolt thrown into the soundtrack. Is this a hint to something that is yet to come? C;

Edit: now that I’ve heard the remaining three songs, I can conclude that this song, Prelude in D-major, and The Face of the Deep are the three “different” songs in this ost.

Thank you for the support! You should definitely give it a go, there's no reason to let it stop you! Once you familiarise yourself with any instrument you won't have any issues at all, it becomes just a natural extension of your body.

The guitar parts in this remind me a lot of Tennessee Ernie Ford, who was a country musician, but he did some weird things with the instruments of the time, like using a slide guitar as a normal guitar for half of the solo, and then finishing it off using it as a fiddle.
After using the entire first and second games’ OSTs as background music while I work for the last few weeks, I’ve decided that this song easily ranks in my top 3.
