This is why nexus is my favorite Ultraman series. Dark plot, fast pace fight, acting are good enough, not much cringe moments and somewhat realistic plot. I like how the user can die and pass nexus to another user and obtain another type of form. Also when they fight, I like the concept of deploying shield around the combat field so tht they can minimize destruction. My favorite is the opening theme song, man tht song really a banger
Facts, I know this sounds sick, but seeing how fast-paced and much more stronger Ultraman Noa is compared to ultraman from the land of light. I lowkey wants to see him massacre the entire ultra brothers like belial did. Espescially since Noa seems to be stronger and a lot more older than Belial and ultraman king themselves

Nexus is the only ultra series was out of the box compared with another ultra series, having the host was not on special force team, detailed storyline with drama etc no wonder why this show was for adults, i hope we will get this same type version at future, watching typical ultra series is boring

My favorite ultra series, not only the story, acting, and material arts are very good but the opening, ending, and soundtrack are also very good, some of the soundtracks feel deep, somewhat foreign but pleasant to hear sometimes make a little goosebumps besides the conflict that is brought is really good. really complex and the story of the competition between noa(nexus), humans, SB and zagi really brings a new experience to the ultra series, I hope this series gets a reebot if possible or a sequel to the novel is adapted, I'm sure it will be very tense the battle between ultraman noa and dark lucifer who was told to shake the entire multiverse in the ultra series
damn im seeing alot of recent comments, im glad nexus is getting the attention it deserves. its honestly the most realistic and interesting story in the ultra franchise. there were so many more plans for it but sadly it got cancelled, one of the plans being for mephisto to become an ultra of light
Ahh I remember how I used to play tag with Junis Blue and Dark Mephisto on the PS2 game because of this moment, I really wish they could've made Dark Mephisto as the secondary ultra of the series
I think Nexus is the only Ultraman series that the fights are faster and more aggresive. Usually, Ultraman's fights are slow, maybe because of gravity. But Nexus's fights are like a normal human fight.
Damn I missed these ultra fights. It's fast and looks realistic. Ultraman fights nowadays catered to kids (which I understand because Ultraman is a kids show) but it makes the fight more soft. Also I really like Nexus darker theme and storytelling. It feels like their lives are at stake and it would literally take everything to defend the Earth from man-eating Space Beast

Ultraman nexus and the " next " universe is easily THE best ultra series by far . Reasons It's pacing is brilliant . The characters are very well done and developed. Especially Jun The tone , dark and mysterious is great The designs of the monsters are new and refreshing The SFX are great ( apart from the cg ) The villains are extrodonary , especially mizorgi and faust The love story is mostly not overdone , exaggerated or out of the blue . As well as the brilliant twist to Riko The story of ren and yuu , promothe children , is just haunting The split between Komon wanting to be with the team , yet being traumatised by what happened to the kid , Riko has not been done better . The battles are dramatic and awesome . The situation that maki and sarah are in makes you care for and relate to the,.
Technically.. all members of the special teams like the night raiders knows martial art. They’re proficient hand to hand combatant and even if they someone who is not proficient in hand2hand, the Ultraman will share his fighting skills to the human host because the moment the human host transforms into the Ultraman, their mind and their body morph into one so they basically share each others knowledge they have on their head.
tommy bryan also coming from someone who trains in martial art for over 2 years now. I think the Ultraman light choose whoever that is worthy of its light, someone with a good and clean heart. Most martial artists i knew are very egocentric and prideful and not exactly the type that has a clean heart in but they make an awesome and fun friends.
This also shows that if Mizorogi isn't heavily injured close to being dead, he would've handily kicked Mephisto Zwei's ass. He has way more experience in terms of fighting.

Maybe mizorogi is stronger than zwei , as you can see Mizorogi have more combat experience than zwei and almost won at the start of the fight but mizorogi injured so tha make him weak

if you watch ultraman nexus, mizorogi was suppose to be second deunamist but got mind control by mephisto. After mephisto got defeated by ultraman nexus, mizorogi mind was erased and mephisto also got erased but magically got power to transform into mephisto

そこに信じられないぐらいレベル高いCG混ぜこむ事で一層作品の良さが際立つ

グロめでシリアスで鬱展開が表面的だからウルトラマンとしてはあまり名前が出てないけど箱を開ければとんでもない神作なんだよな。ネクサスって実際一番ウルトラマンの神秘感と怪物の脅威さときわめつけはストーリーが斬新でいまだからこそリアルなウルトラマンを求めてる人に見てほしい。

Yep, it's Kenji Kawai. He also did the osts for Zero, Geed, Kamen Rider Build, and Gundam 00. The best part is, you could easily identify it's from him.
Also he composed the Ip Man series of Films,and most recently,a Gritty Action Film called "Limbo"(Read as 朋友 in Putonghua)

シリアスでハードでダークなストーリーと演出、変身者が複数存在、宇宙刑事みたいなメタフィールドの描写といい、余りにも斬新過ぎるウルトラマン。こんな斬新なウルトラマンは恐らく後にも先にもネクサスだろう。
もし当時ネット配信があれば名作として評価されていただろうに、余りにも時代を先取りし過ぎていた。

Ultraman nexus and the " next " universe is easily THE best ultra series by far .
Reasons
It's pacing is brilliant .
The characters are very well done and developed. Especially Jun
The tone , dark and mysterious is great
The designs of the monsters are new and refreshing
The SFX are great ( apart from the cg )
The villains are extrodonary , especially mizorgi and faust
The love story is mostly not overdone , exaggerated or out of the blue . As well as the brilliant twist to Riko
The story of ren and yuu , promothe children , is just haunting
The split between Komon wanting to be with the team , yet being traumatised by what happened to the kid , Riko has not been done better .
The battles are dramatic and awesome .
The situation that maki and sarah are in makes you care for and relate to the,.

The funny thing is that why the dark side has monster or aid, whilst light only do Solo
Technically.. all members of the special teams like the night raiders knows martial art. They’re proficient hand to hand combatant and even if they someone who is not proficient in hand2hand, the Ultraman will share his fighting skills to the human host because the moment the human host transforms into the Ultraman, their mind and their body morph into one so they basically share each others knowledge they have on their head.
tommy bryan also coming from someone who trains in martial art for over 2 years now. I think the Ultraman light choose whoever that is worthy of its light, someone with a good and clean heart. Most martial artists i knew are very egocentric and prideful and not exactly the type that has a clean heart in but they make an awesome and fun friends.

1.maybe zwei is not ready to fight mizorogi he just suprise that mizorogi comeback Alive and become a dark mephisto that's caught him off guard
2. Maybe mizorogi is stronger than zwei , as you can see Mizorogi have more combat experience than zwei
and almost won at the start of the fight but mizorogi injured so tha make him weak
