- Video from the eighth annual Dog Day Afternoon at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels July 9 in downtown Los Angeles. An estimated 1,200 downtown residents and 1,000 dogs participated in the event, which, as Msgr. Kevin Kostelnik quipped, was open to "dogs of any faith." Catholics and non-Catholic pets and owners got to know each other in the cathedral plaza, sharing food, drink and music. The cathedral co-hosted with the Downtown Center Business Improvement District.
