I heard this on Octane today, right at the end of my lunch break. myself, My husband, our daughter, and our best friend have been struggling since Dec 2020 when we lost our home, and have been living out of our camper since then, while we recover our savings/credit and search for a new home to call ours. We have been celebrating the little steps we need to make our dream goal happen like we finally got a truck, and it was 6 months ahead of what we planned! Woo-hoo! Brick by brick, we stay positive on our way back home!

@@damienheitzer8712 We've had our good days and bad, but we are slowly rising. It's much slower than i'd like, and I loose sight of the end goal alot, but any progress is good progress. We are healing in some way.

My very first rock show was an Egypt Central concert, playing with Burn Halo. October 24th 2011. I was 17. I still have my photo with the band members and the cringy look on my face, but it's a treasured memory. Y'all rocked then and you still rock now!

I love this song. When I took a second to really pay attention to the lyrics it made me think of all the Ukrainian refugees being forced to leave their homes with nowhere to go. "Danger in the skies, and I know you're losing hope, but I promise you we'll find the road back home". And the curtain reference = The Iron Curtain... I know not the meaning the song was intended for, but gives the song a melancholy feel for me because you know those people just want a home that's now ceased to exist except in their hearts! Thank you for this song, it's great!

I don't know why, but this song hits me right in the feels. There's some strong emotion in this song. I love it.
I wish this song had existed when I was a kid fresh from the trauma of my first move. I've always loved The Wizard of Oz and always made personal connections to it during that time for that reason, so the fact this song makes full references to it means a lot to me.
Even though it came too late, I'm glad it exists now and I'm glad you guys are back and still making music! I didn't know you started back up in 2019, but it was a long 7 years without you guys.
