Honestly Pat; I'm constantly repeating myself on your awesome channel. Total respect, admiration and a touch of envy over your compositions. So, so much here to admire relative to the work shared by others. Firstly, time signatures: with your 7/4 we immediately get deep into the pocket--refreshing in comparison with alternatives. Next, chord choices: you give everyone room with these suspended voicings to experiment, e.g., harmonizing with 6ths. Lovely. Lastly, at the risk of going on and on; 5★ for your synth pads which--among many benefits--voice lead to upcoming sections. Man; thank-you and please carry on! Hoping for 100,000 subs here in 2025!
i just found your jam tracks and i absolutely love them. great quality, great chord changes, great music feel, mr beasts career might be over but we dont really know what the future holds. seriously though, keep it up Pat!
| 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 - 3 | I've always been a little sketchy if the bottom number is 4 in an "odd" time signature; not sure why this is not 7/8. This pings memories of the sadly late and supremely great Pierre Moerlen of his "Gong" band with Allan Holdsworth and his solo albums. Lovin' that syncopated kick drum. Thanks so much for sharing your extraordinary and always-fresh compositions, many of which are wonderful as ambient listening even without melodies.
Beautiful track! Btw how do you guys do it? Do you downstroke all the quarternotes or do you do alternate picking? If you alternate, do you switch to a downstroak on every new Bar or do you alternate Pick constantly and play the accent with the upstrokes? im really interested!
by far my favorite jam track on youtube! love the composition and its always a treat to play in 7
Love having these odd time tracks. Great way to practice staying in time!
that was FUN
