Dude I understand..when a hobby becomes a job and makes it that u can't do what u usually want to do it's time to wind down or stop. I've never understood how you've put out so much content considering the value of the product you open and the time taken. It's certainly not expected, especially when we know this isn't your full-time gig. I'd have absolutely zero issue with one upload a week or less, hell I sub to many channels that put out very little content but when they do it's fun and engaging and legit, like yours. For a one-man-band you put out more content than anyone else I know. It's decent too, not rushed garbage. Please don't feel bad dude.
I hope that we will go back normal some day but if you need to focus on yourself you do it, I wasn't here long but I've been enjoying the time here ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you POA for the time you have given us. I doubt I'll find another pack opener who's videos I enjoy as much as yours and I'm sure many of us feel the same. But you need to live your life and I'm sure we'll all continue to enjoy whatever you do manage to put out whenever you do!

POA long term subscriber here. Think I subbed when you only had two hundred or so subscribers. I understand the growth to your channel and the inevitable move to patreon. However, that’s not why I subbed. I subbed before you made that move. Watching your content has been enjoyable- whether that’s your take on the set, cards, or just general discussion. Battles are ok, but I’m not watching to see you do math and add numbers to see who wins. I’m watching because you have a good vibe that goes hand in hand with box openings. I think maybe you should go back to that. Buying product you like and sharing it with us. Will that gain you crazy monetary value through UA-cam? Probably not, but it’s a call back to I think what everyone liked about your channel from the beginning. If you make something you love a business, you’ll end up resenting it eventually. I’d love to see videos going forward where they’re on your time and it’s enjoyable for you.

I hope that when you get a box of new stuff for yourself, that you'll continue to upload them and give us your thoughts, it would suck for you to dissappearcompletely. Your authenticity, accountability, and integrity have been obvious from the first few videos that I watched. I appreciate whatever you choose to share moving forward, I also understand that you have to do what's right for your life. Life happens my friend. At the end of the day you need to look out for #1, NOTHING is more important than that. And if that means you need to step away from what is essentially a hobby to get your life in order, then that is exactly what you do. If people dont understand that, fuck em. I have had a blast watching you open packs, running battles, etc. It's been fun. And I have no intention of going anywhere as i assume many of us would agree. If this becomes a once a week, or a completely random posting schedule, cool. im here for it. And if this channel dies, so be it. Its been a blast.

The reason people love this kind of content is because they can live vicariously through the opener. The reality is that very few people have the means, time and knowledge to do this themselves.
It often goes unappreciated how much time it takes to set up, film and edit these videos. Few understand the financial commitment required to not only purchase the product but also buy the set up (camera, computer, software, etc) to even start producing opening videos.
One thing that I always enjoyed about your videos is that you seemed like a normal dude who was realistic about the hobby, not prone to over-the-top hype, and genuinely having a good time opening the product. Being a normal person means that you also have all the other things that normal people have. You have a job and a life and interests outside of this. Go and water those plants.
I will selfishly really miss your content. You, Wildcat, MTG North and Cardboard Kiwi became a part of my daily routine. Pop back in and open some stuff here and there. We’d love updates on your personal journey in the hobby. I’ve always enjoyed your perspective on releases and the chat that went along with the opening.

Sad to see you cut back, but completely understandable. I found your channel shortly after getting into Magic roughly a year ago, and I love your content. I enjoy your generally laidback opening and commentary as opposed to the overhyped stuff on many other channels. I hope you still post stuff occasionally, even if it’s a box or two from each new set (which I know is a lot rn), but I understand if even that is too much for your schedule. As someone that can’t afford to open much, especially with all the sets coming out, it was always fun to watch your videos, and I wish I could have supported the channel more. Thanks for the consistent content over the past year that I’ve been able to enjoy it. Godspeed!

POA I want to thank you for all the videos you have made and I honestly am not surprised to hear this. There is a reason why I fell for your April Fools videos so easily lol. I never forgot that you are doing the channel on top of working the job that actually makes it possible to pay for life lol. This will probably be a long comment and I will probably give more personal information than anyone would ever want about me lol. If you read it all POA I hope it doesn't seem like I am trying to make you feel guilty for slowing down and doing content once in awhile instead of working a second job that sometimes puts the vocal a*holes directly in front of your face. I am bi-polar and have been living with almost daily thoughts of forever sleeping myself for about 30 years. I don't have intent to act on them, but the thoughts have been a constant since I was 12 or 13 in middle school. I was also in a very serious car accident when I was 23 and for the past 20 years I have lived with severe chronic pain a I am limited in what I am able to do physically. I am disabled because of the physical damage from the accident and mental issues caused by severe sleep apnea that wasn't diagnosed and actually dropped my blood oxygen levels so low while sleeping it has permanently damaged my memory and ability to focus. The reason I wanted to tell you all of these things POA is because with all of it my life doesn't have much structure and day to I don't usually have much to look forward too or to add anything that lets me give individual days form. I don't know how many people will understand what I mean and just how important it is. When time almost literally has no importance outside of making sure you go to doctor appointments, you not only gave me more structure when I started watching your channel, it was at a time I needed it most. I had moved away from Nashville and the very friends I had irl, to the middle of nowhere, TN so I could take care of my mom. Your videos have not only given me a schedule adding more structure to my life they have been something good I can look forward to. You have made self-depricating jokes in some of your videos about not knowing why anyone watches your "stupid" videos and I wanted to let you know why I watch your videos and why I have enjoyed them and the time I spent being entertained and sometimes thankfully distracted from my own brain that has been trying to kill me for 30 years. I'm sorry for the crazy long way too personal comment, but as someone who knows all too well that, as humans, we tend to remember the negative comments and forget positive ones. I wanted to hopefully add more positivity to the comment section for you to remember. Thank you POA for doing and giving so much to the MtG community and to me personally even when it meant working a second job that probably didn't have great pay, poor benefits, and not nearly enough recognition. I have greatly enjoyed the time I spent watching you and I will continue to go back to rewatch my favorite videos and set openings. I also need to thank you for being a big part of why I went from just watching openings on youtube, to finally playing again after almost 20 years. Thank you so muck POA and I hope you are able to play more and have fun with the game you helped me grow to love again.

Occasionally I think about coming back to making content, but then I worry about it starting to feel like an obligation again, and not enjoying it.
Plus sealed is so much more enjoyable to open off camera. Just laying back, taking my time, and really enjoying the experience. No worries about keeping folks entertained.
The one thing I really miss is the community of creators. I know we used to end up chatting occasionally during streams n such. I was going by The Stomping Grounds back then.
I respect your decision but I will still miss you and your content!

I will never understand the negative comments on these videos. It’s a chill dude opening packs of magic, what is there possibly to complain about? If you don’t like it, don’t watch? Why take the time to watch something you hate and then take the time to comment BS after? Just blows my mind. Isn’t there something better you can do with your time?

Yo POA, gonna try and not preach to you, just want to say a few words. First of all - Me too boss. I bought a MH3 bundle recently and mid opening I was just...uninterested to finish, I barely even touched Bloomburrow after I pulled Maha and Inkeeper's Talent. Arena's felt like a chore, none of my playgroup wants to play anymore, product fatigue is setting in (duskmourn is next month...), I just feel you man. After looking at my playtime on arena and how it's negatively affecting my personal relations and mental health, I've decided to take a step back from pretty much all Magic for a while. I am sorry you had problems on this platform, but I will say I definitely enjoyed your optimism, acceptance of the MTG market, and your general love of the game. I also want to agree with the overwhelming negativity in the MTG community right now. I feel as if it's a mix of both WOTC's sketchy practices as of late, and also the overall social well being of Magic's players and lack of proper social and mental structure. Don't ever let the haters get to you my guy. And whether it be one a video a week, month, or even set, regardless you still cemented yourself as a great product showcase channel, and also a simply great human being. I dont know your housing situation and this might not work for you. But I ship a lot of stuff out through the post office by scheduling a pickup to my house and having one of the newer large mailboxes. It's free and even if you don't have mail that day they will still show up and you get an email receipt as well. May be an option to help you, I know it helps me with my often flipped sleep schedule.

Hey man, sad to hear but understandable. There's a German youtuber (TCG Love) that is a running a model that might be interesting to you: Essentially daily uploads for ~2 weeks when there is a release and only the occasional filler video in between sets. Naturally this model does not work nearly as well with monetization via Patreon (I am a supporter there, it helps with the giveaways he hosts), but there is a lot of merit to it: Videos about sets are always aligned with peak interest in the set and there's a good amount of downtime. Perhaps an approach that better suits your schedule? Anyhow, thanks for al the great videos you ahve made.
For the Patreon thing, it's reading like you'd *Have* to go back and change all of your posts and posts going forward to not be viewable by the free "following" option that now exists to give people a reason to pay for Patreon. But slowing down sounds like it might just be better for you anyways. Good luck!
Sad to see you stop. Thought I am confused about the post office bit... If you print out labels yourself you can generally just drop them off? Unless you have a really tiny post office that doesn't allow 24hr drop off?

Personally I'm dealing with a higher than normal electric bill from July and August, along with higher grocery prices etc. But we've got Christmas coming and hopefully people will be willing and able to spend. Kinda hard to justify cardboard when you're hungry. JS

You should at least continue to post your boxes. You're the only one I even bother watching anymore. Regardless. I've enjoyed the content. Edit free short and no stupidity or edits other channels tend to do.
