En la novela, el padre de Haochen cuando lo conoce de niño, siente la sangre del clan demonio dragón, y piensa que es hijo del emperador demonio (que su mujer le fue infiel).
Por eso abandona a Haochen desde pequeño y lleva a su esposa al paso Yulon y la deja sola (él vaga por el territorio demonio y después regresa para la batalla final utilizando su trono de sello.
Aquí es donde lo odié😠 , porque cuando Haochen está por matar al emperador, su madre le súplica que no lo haga porque son familia (y Long XingYu la abogetea por ponerlo en ridículo, le dice que le perdonó la infidelidad y que reconoció a Haochen como su hijo sabiendo que era hijo del emperador demonio, y esto lo hace delante de todos los presentes, humanos y demonios).
El emperador demonio se pone furioso, y ahí es donde se da cuenta que Haochen no es hijo, sino nieto del emperador.
Y el padre de Haochen, reconoce que él entrenó a su hijo para que cuando adulto matará al emperador demonio o que el emperador matará a Haochen, o que ambos murieran. (Su venganza era enfrentar al padre y al hijo). Además reconoce también que cuando el emperador demonio destruye el corazón de Haochen (para así destruir a Austin Griffin), él estaba ahí, y pudo evitar que eso sucediera, pero no lo hizo, porque creía que Haochen no era nada suyo 😠
