Wrathion not appearing in Legion (well, outside the Chromie scenario) was one of the few story issues I had with the expansion, since he'd been preparing for it for so long. He better do something in BfA.
I hope Wrathion will be a major character during the next expansion Battle for Azeroth. I'm sick of Blizzard to teasing us will small cameo in WoD and Legion. I want to see him active like he was in MoP maybe more.
It's true Rocses that they said that, BUT Red Shirt Guy found him in the Alliance Embassy in Stormwind in the Blizzcon Demo for BfA. Both Orgrimmar and Stormwind now have these Embassies, where faction leaders gather and send you on quests to bring allied races into the fold (Like Turalyon and Alleria who suggest the lightforged and the void elves). His presence there seems to contradict Ion, and it certainly wouldn't be the first time that they lied to keep things a surprise.
i liked these quest that are for different classes. that is why i liked the legion order halls. they made it different enough when you played through on a different class. sadly i didnt make a rogue until mist then i did this quest and loved it. now hes my main.
He also had a little special dialogue if you did the quest for the daggers on your rogue before going to see him in Pandaria to start the cloak quest. I don't remember the exact wording, but it was something to the effect of "name' pleasure to see you again! I trust you are already settling into this land of Pandaria?" Something a little better then that, but close :)
The same way you could kill alextrasza by cutting the head off of any body she shapeshifted into. If she can die from turning into a rabbit and being sliced in half as a rabbit then it's simple to assume that a dragon's legs broken in human form could have complications after shapeshifting. Obviously, being a life dragon, he would seek healing soon after.
I really wish dragons weren't in the whole extinction boat. I also hate how they lost their powers and ability to breed (there are a few species outside the main five that are unaffected) after the Cataclysm. Dragons simply feel a lot weaker now.
My notes: 1. Who's that protoss at the start? 2. So Ebonhorn is uncorrupted like Wrathion right? So they have no real quarrel with each other right? 3. At Deathwing's death that voice is Aggra's right? Not Alexstrasza's or Ysera's in dragonform? Because it sounds like my grandmother getting drunk and screaming so loud her throat is getting soar.
There's so much potential to Wrathion's story that I wish they would have covered in the past expansions. It's a shame to know that they don't even have anything planned for him in BFA, since him being absent in Legion is such a huge hole in his story as well. I hope we see more of him, and in the very least acknowledge that he is not the only dragon left. I'd be incredibly interested in doing a questline where he tracks down Ebonhorn in an attempt to kill him or something, but ends up learning that he's not alone in being a purified dragon. It'd make for some interesting story.
As of legion the prereq versions of shadowmourne, tarecgosas rest, and these daggers are transmoggable. You cant mog the legendaries themselves, but you can get pretty damn close with the pre reqs
With the last 2 expansions, they really wasted an opportunity to use such a great character. I know he was planned to be in WoD and Legion, but I guess they just do not know what to do with him. He has great voice acting and a lot of potential. Hopefully in B4A he has a decent role to fill.
I'm thinking of starting a rogue soon in shadowlands as I mostly play solo so it works for me and I am looking forward to doing stuff like this. Hell, finding groups in classic is a pain in the ass. Noone talks.
I vagely remember someone in legion I believe ebonhorn mentioning something about having to take care of family matters. He might of been referring to wrathion. Although not 100% sure on that.
The highmountain were probably gonna join the horde anyway since the tauren are in there and they can relate closely, but I am really wondering what happens with Wrathion and Ebonhorn. I really like Ebonhorn so hopefully it works out ok. Maybe he'll even keep his distance-- I mean, its not like Wrathion even knew he was around before all this and he claims to be so clued in.
Its kind of sad to see that the black dragons themselves recognize the voices but can't resist their calling, they try to control their impulse to no avail.

Now I see why the rogues didn't get Ravenholdt Manor as their class order hall in Legion. The place must still be in ruins after Wrathion's little incident. But to be fair, the one we got isn't that bad. At least it's conveniently close to everything else in Dalaran.
Wrathion holds the moral high ground against Sabelian... but not Ebyssian, could be a future path related more so that the corruption of the Black Dragon Flight was their personality, and not solely that of the Old God's, they seem like the Fire Nation :P Ebyssian, mess up his entitled ass
One black dragon that im curious about is Serinar. He's the guy who nalice sends you too at the obsidian dragonshrine. He was unusually friendly too us mortals and we dont know if he died, simply hid from wrathion or maybe went to outland.
Couldn't theoretically both of the two remaining black dragons (the guy in outland and ebonhorn) beat wrathion with little problem? If I'm right ebonhorn is close to 10'000 years old, and I think the outland dragon is the same age?
I lkked this questline so much ive completed it twice- the only legendaru ive done so with. Fun fact: if youve not done the badlands questline, when you do it on that rogue some of the dialogue throughout the questline is different
Lipe Br if you did them corastrasza mentions what happened in the badlands and your character tells her i know i was there i helped create it and shes astonished as she though all those involved in the experiment died with Rhea or were hunted down. Thats the one i do remember. Oddly, its hard to find record of the dialogue for characters that Didnt do it than for those who did. Wowpedia doesnt even list that there is an option for those who didnt complete it

Deathwing is his father. Plenty dragons survive mating with aspects. The reason Deathwings mates died is because he mated with them AFTER transforming. Wrathion may very well have been an egg made before DW was corrupted. We have no way of knowing how long dragon eggs last

Considering Ebyssian was made up to substitute Wrathion once they realized it didn't make any sense for him to have been in highmountain for thousands of years, I'm not expecting it to be very well thought out. Unfortunately.
They sure have a reason to think of something now though; this technically means that both horde and alliance have a black dragon on their respective teams, too. I wonder if Ebonhorn will be in the horde emissary (Wrathion will be in the alliance's) or if he'll just be lying low, still.

I was stunned that they attacked Ravenholdt like that. Not only did it seem out of character for the red flight but I just didn't see the chain of logic that led to that; all that fire and dead dragons--such a waste.
I just ask that they do something next expansion. Wrathion had absolutely no presence in legion (after being cut from highmountain) and Anduin had only one questline (and an awesome cinematic!) It appears Anduin will be a protagonist next expac, I hope Wrathion gets screen time as well.

They had an arc together in MoP. They played chess against each other and discussed their worldviews and philosophies. They were polar opposites but wanted the same goals and they fleshed out their characters during those interactions.
Did this in Cata. Probably one of the coolest chains in the game. The specific boss fights were also pretty fun; like mini Mage Tower Challenges, but tailored specific to rogues.
