I met KB at PTO in Milwaukee this summer. I didn’t find him “robotic” at all. In fact he is one of the friendliest athletes who is aware of his fans. He saw me and some kids on the side line and we were ca calling his name. He was warming up for the race, but he came by and let some of us took photos with him. A truly champ!!!

Not yet but a Kona title and another Olympic gold would probably nail it

I think you probed too much to try to get him to talk about living a monk lifestyle -- who cares?! to achieve anything in life you gotta make sacrifices. Triathlon is not that unique compared to other professional sports or sometimes even other professions! It's not an interesting line of conversation. The SLT production team should refocus and redirect. And if anything it can turn people off triathlon. Stop playing that note! Let's celebrate these athletes and their sacrifices. Anne Haug!! Keep crushing! KB -- you da man!!!! keep crushing. Best of luck Paris 2024!

Sorry to Say this But KB Will have to beat the Likes of Alex Yee, Haden Wilde, Matt Hauser And the French Men too! And that is no Small Task!

He is so arrogant. Hundreds of athletes work half their life to compete at the olympics or even win a medal. And he just swipes this away as "part of a journey". Like a stop at a gas station. Kristian, have some respect. Maybe you will replace the Jan Frodenos and Sebastian Kienles on the podiums, but with interviews like that (and many others that I've seen !) you won't replace them in terms of kindness and sportsmanship. I honestly wish you to loose Paris to some true sportsman.

Your comment screams jealousy he’s a professional that dedicates his life to the craft. When you believe in the process it gives you confidence if he doesn’t believe that he will win then who will. Also be thankful he is willing to speak his mind rather than trying to be fake humble like most athletes interview these days

@@alansteel1409 How can I be jealous of a professional athlete? My best time on 5km run is 25min :D Yes he is dedicated...like all professionals are, but I feel he got no respect towards the middle and low class athletes who are working equally as hard as he does. Thats my feeling always when I see his interviews. Confident - overconfident and arrogant are very narrow to each other. It's just a feeling
