Bill Eadie such an absolute class act. The casual fan will not know just what a massive star Bill was outside the WWF. Why oh why are Demolition not in the Hall of Fame? Without a doubt one of the best tag teams in the 80's. People say they were a WWF version of the Roadwarriors and yes it sounds like Vince created them with that in mind but that's where the likeness ended. They were a solid tag team (world champions) great interview skills and all round bonafide legends.
+Mickey BlueEyes Once Vince McMahon signed LOD, it seemed like he no longer gave a shit about Demolition. And that really sucks. One of the only times I can think of where Vince treated another company's stars better than his own creation. Of course, the lawsuit they had with Ax might have something to do with it as well.
I remember as a little kid going to the Coliseum and seeing Demolition with Fuji, Fuji was creepy as hell and the crowd hated him lol The only other manager who garnered more hatred was Bobby Heenan. On TV it's one thing but in person it was loud
Demolition started out as a Road Warriors clone but came completely into their own. I personally think that Mr. Fuji had LOTS to do with it. Fuji was a great wrestler when I saw him tag up with Professor Toru Tanaka @ MSG. I miss him as a performer.
DEMOLITION to me were at their absolute best when they had no mangers holding their hands.they could think for themselves and win matches alone .And when they were fan favorites the fans were like a extra tag team partner waiting to tag in when they needed it.i honestly think they were better as a team without a manger and as a fan favorite team of the fans and I believe they really loved it.you can't changed my mind I saw what I saw with them and I believe it .
Love it when Ax mentions OTTAWA! I was 12 years old and saw them at civic centre and there was a fuck up… anyways match delayed because only one British bulldog was there so there was husslin and tussling with mr Fuji haha.. he was swinging his cane around not letting anyone approach the demos but in the end I think the match went on anyways and ended being against one British bulldog and one killer Bee.. b Brian Blair if I recall well.. I loved the demos!! My favourite tag team EVERRR
+DocFarnoff He owns a theater near my house or at least he used to and I would see him there setting in a wheelchair tearing tickets off for people quite often. I've told him how much I loved wrestling before but never really got to have a true conversation with him because he just always looked busy and honestly pretty feeble.
+DocFarnoff "-san" is just something added on to the name in Japan(think Karate Kid and "Daniel-san"). Basically he is insulting them by calling them a boy.
I been waiting for years for Demolition to become WWE Hall Of Famers. It's so rediculous that they are still not. The longest reigning tag champs ever and probably first 3 time tag champs. My message to Vince McMahon Vince..........I along with the millions of other fans deserve to cheer for Demolition to be in the next Hall of Fame. They been in the ring with the best tag team ever. Never LOD ripoffs, Always their awesome leathercladoutfits and mask style, awesome promos and good working with people. Please put them in the Hall of Fame. The amount of money us fans had paid for our tickets. Cheers to Ax and Smash and RIP Brian Crush Adams.
Bill and Barry have yet to say anything negative or out of line about a wrestler back in the day. They always seem to bring up those wrestlers strong points before mentioning flaws. These two sounded like true professionals in and out of the ring. With the 80s seeing so many big stars; these two amazing workers would have gotten lost as singles. It was genius to team up and create the most sinister and equally iconic tag team ever in WWE/F.
It would be funny to let people who aren't wrestling fans just LISTEN to this interview. You would just hear these really intelligent sounding men sitting there talking and understanding psychology and things like that. THEN you let them SEE the guys and they would probably fall over. LOL! The stereotype of wrestlers being dumb is definitely not altogether true.
Mr. Fuji had about a half a pound of cocaine on him at all times. I met them years ago at an all you can eat truckstop! Andre, Mr Fuji, Iron Sheik and Jake The Snake and a few others I can't identify (I was only about 5yrs old) but I knew all because of the anti drug nonsense in the 80's that drugs were bad and ONLY for losers. So why were these guys so successful? XD
Talking about fuj the stooge.they were so much better Without him.they really could think so much better.he might helped them here and there but they were better alone.
I really can't get enough of these Demo shoots. They are such cool, laid back, nice dudes!
Fuji was a legend in the business. I can definitely see how young, up and coming talent could really benefit from his knowledge.
Ax and Smash, always the best, top class, wonderful people, we cant get enough of them, so many years after! Respect to the greatest tag team ever!
These 2 are real gentlemen. Class act and very respectful men. I salute them both. Great guys...T

+MrAdrenaline1982 agreed
+MrAdrenaline1982 Yeah, I agree. The powers of pain had to split up. I enjoyed them as well. Demolition was turned heel.
Demolition isn’t in the Hall of Fame because they are part of a concussion lawsuit against the WWE.
I'll always remember him as the Masked Superstar
I remember as a little kid going to the Coliseum and seeing Demolition with Fuji, Fuji was creepy as hell and the crowd hated him lol The only other manager who garnered more hatred was Bobby Heenan. On TV it's one thing but in person it was loud
Ax had one hell of a unique voice when doing his Demolition promos! It's a voice that stays burnt into your brain.
Rest in Peace Mr. Fugi
I remember some promos of Smash calling Mr. Fugi- "foog the stooge" when they no longer were together. Ha, love it. Love Mr. Fugiwara!
I like how they always stay in character.. face paint and all.
Demolition started out as a Road Warriors clone but came completely into their own. I personally think that Mr. Fuji had LOTS to do with it. Fuji was a great wrestler when I saw him tag up with Professor Toru Tanaka @ MSG. I miss him as a performer.
Bill will always be my all time favorite professional wrestler. When I was a kid AX was it for me.
Valliant with Demolition was comparable to the Undertaker/Brother Love pairing. It did not make a lot of sense.
Great analogy.
Waylon Mercy Well said
That is the prefect comparison !
yea way back in time when I first saw demo they were with vall but I only saw him with them only one time on tv.

That's Master Fuji
I guess this is why they came up with the New Dream Team.
Demolition.. the best.. ever.. blew my mind. Brutal.😮😮😮
Fugi heenan Sherri greatness
Fuji & Prof. Toru Tanaka were WWF Tag Champions, weren't they? I would have liked to see them work.

Good interviews !!!!
Always loved Mr. Fuji. He used to call enemies Boy-san. I always wondered what that meant.

+RobtheTerrible So it's kind of being polite and insulting at the same time. Thanks for clearing that up.
+RobtheTerrible San is sort of like Mr./Ms..etc.
Think "kid"

I love smash and ax demolition in wrestling
Hah awesome that Fuji was so feared for his ribs that one even wanted to mess with them.

I see this was posted two years ago & I’m not sure if I’m the only one who noticed this (right away), but it’s Fuji, not Fugi.
When Fuji parted with Demolition at Survivor Series '88, it was heartbreaking!
@@EnforcerX71 Agreed, then Fuji managed POP trying to get the belts.
Mr Fuji turned on them .
Mr. Fuji and Don Muraco, local boys from Hawaii
damn ax is 68 yrs old still goin ,,shouts out,,,smash 56
Best tag team ever! PERIOD
Give me the boot!
These guys are great
RIP Fuji
these guys seem like really cool dudes in real life
*Fuji
Exactly!
Smash wasnt even there when Fuji join Demolition at 1st...
Yes he was. Fuji joined them in April of ‘87
@@NOV123 smash was there but it wasnt Barrie..it was the original smash. (Moondog rex)
@@mrtysawa9156 Barry replaced Rex in Jan or Feb

Oh yeah, it's AMAZING how unlike their gimmicks of being savage brutes they both are!
Mike zaun
Mr Fuggy?

Wait.... Smash is from Russia
Minnesota
please tell me that's make-up on their faces
It started off as face paint. But Bill and Barry got it tattooed to save themselves the work of doing the makeup night after night.
Piper A R .....ok Einstein it’s tattooed
