My mom passed away May of last year and we lost our dad in December last year. It's been rough. We miss them so much. My mom was a Christian and attended church every Sunday. This was one of her favorite songs. I can just close my eyes and hear her singing with the congregation. Without God I could never make it through the heartache. God Is Good!
My mama passed away today. She was 96 years old. My dad died several years ago and I know she has missed him so much. They're together now walking in that garden with the Lord. God bless you Mama and God bless you Daddy till we can all be together again.

I am 53 years old and I lost my Mom 9 years ago on March 24th. My Dad died when I was 2 1/2. My Mom was left with 4 small children, 2 older than me and 1 younger (all boys,of course). She was a strong woman who worked many jobs to support her family but we were always in Church on Sunday. Mom always sang this song. Such a beautiful voice. I lay in bed at night with this song in my head. Thank you, Alan Jackson, for doing the best rendition I have ever heard.
I was listening to this song when I was on my knees, crying for my mom’s health. I was devastated because she has cancer and wasn’t doing well at all. God talked to me through this praise, and when I opened the Bible, it was Psalms 27. God confirmed that we should just wait on Him. We still need a miracle, but now we have faith and praise while we wait! My mom is a woman who follows our Lord’s words, and I ask you to pray for her health as well. Her name is Maria Juracy and she has a serious Lymphoma.
I can't listen to this song without my eyes filling up with tears. Three years ago I lost my grandfather, he was 99. He was an atheist until 3 years before he died. One day he began singing this song and the Old Rugged Cross around his house. After YEARS of my mom, grandmother, and the rest of us praying for him, God saved him! His heart softened and he became a believer in the end. AMAZING. He was a very hardened man. WW2 Veteran who came from a pretty rough upbringing. The day he died there was a strong presence in the house. Everyone felt it, even our few non believer family members. My grandfather is in Heaven right now. Thank you Lord! In the end he was a totally changed man and we could all see it.
I had am amazing dream yesterday the 17th July 2024..I was walking with My Lord in the beautiful forest full of wild animals, lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, Baffaloes, Tigers, leopards, hippopotamus, etc. All these animals pavesd a way for us as we pass by in a peaceful way. They were aware of our presence and they just gave us a peaceful space to move around them in the forest wow! Wow! Wow! I woke up in a heavenly peace of mind. My soul is so revived this morning Glory to God. Amen Hallelujah ❤❤❤ This song came to my mind this morning after the Heavenly walk with God. He reigns He is alive and He knows the flock of His sheep 😊
My mom just passed away a couple days ago. This was her favorite hymn. And AJ does it as well as I've ever heard. You can smile with tears runn down your cheeks whe Alan sings it 😊
I come to the garden alone, While the dew is still on the roses, And the voice I hear falling on my ear The Son of God discloses. Refrain: And He walks with me, and He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own; And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known. He speaks, and the sound of His voice Is so sweet the birds hush their singing, And the melody that He gave to me Within my heart is ringing. I’d stay in the garden with Him, Though the night around me be falling, But He bids me go; through the voice of woe His voice to me is calling.
This song was played at my Daddy's funeral in 1969 and I was 11 years old. Thank You Alan, because you did the song so right, it was by Kate Smith. That was the only other time I'd heard it. I now love you singing it! God Bless You 🙏,and I really thank you!
I love this old hymn, and the way alan sings it just brings me peace. My Son died at the age of 3’ I loved that lil’ rascal although sometimes he drove me crazy, the worst thing that ever happened to me was his death. I blamed God for it and completely stopped being a Christian, this song saved me, I remember hearing this song as a child, but when my wife was listening to it one day, everything came back. I went back to my old ways, I now have a daughter that is 5’ months old and the first thing I do every morning is sing this song to her. Thank you Alan for saving me, I love you, and may God bless you.
Deb and Patricia, I’m so sorry for your losses. We lost my mom last June, and we played this version to her at the end and at her memorial service . . . One of her absolute favorites. Love and miss you, Mom.
My mom's 1 year Anniversary of passing this Dec 2021, her favorite song also, we played it at her funeral...my rose bush had this on it as I came home from work early 1 morning...dew on the Rose, 🌹, I immediately thought of her🤗❤
This hymn always makes me think of my grandma. She loved to be in her garden and her greenhouse, “taking care of God’s beautiful plants and the bounty he provided” ❤️
On the day she passed, we sang this to her and told her to relax and “go meet Andy, He was waiting for her” It was one of her favorite jokes…God’s name is Andy…Andy walks with me, Andy talks with me. When grandma would head out to the garden or greenhouse she would often say “time to go spend some time with Andy” ❤️
This is one of the many gospel songs I was taught even as early as learning my first words .. I'm so grateful that I was born into a Bible believing, Jesus praising, holy rolling family of old fashioned pentecostal preachers and teachers. As I see many poor young people these days who sadly have their last memories of the parents drinking or using drugs etc... My heart hurts for them and I can't imagine having that image of my parents as one of my last images. My father was down on bended knee praying and talking to the Lord like it was his best friend and like he was in the room with us...that's when he has a major heart attack... I was 3 and praying with him... he was teaching me. As heartbreaking as it was to lose him I am so grateful and thankful that my last image and memory was him in prayer... humbling himself. My mother I lost 5 yrs ago and a couple hours before her passing I was on the phone with her talking about going to church the next morning and then heading straight over to her immediately afterwards... Her very last words to me were " give the Lord extra praise for me too... I love you and so does he." Thank you Jesus for such amazing influences and examples !!
Yes, you are blessed to have had parents that were true believers, and I thank God for you and your testimony❣️ I am a born again believer, myself, by the blood and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ❣️I was raised in a Southern Baptist Church; but I do not and will not ever claim any denomination again. I have a question for you, If you don't mind? The Holy Spirit has revealed to me in the last few days that all "the gifts" are still available to us today. I am being told by one friend that Baptism by The Holy Ghost requires the evidence of speaking in tongues; while another friend says that's not the case for everyone? They both point to different scriptures to back their belief. I'm curious what you believe? Thank you!
@@wokeacola8547 I myself have experienced the baptism many times and I have only experienced the stammering of tongue not actually speaking in tongues. I do think that each of us are walking our own individual and unique path with the savior. I don't feel as though my experience is any less important or less valuable in any way. God bless you and thank you for your comment and question.
This is one of the songs that my dad requested to be played at his funeral, I lost him on my birthday October 24th, 2023 from a unexpected heart attack, miss him so much
You had a great father! Walking with Jesus. First year is the hardest, keep talking about your memories of him. Lord bless this person while still grieving, walk with them.🙏🏻
I kept hearing the first few words of this song ringing in my heart this morning. So I found Alan singing this song on UA-cam. God is telling me something.
Him and George are two of the best that are still with us earth side. I bought a hymnal book a few months back, flipped and landed on this song, I thought i may need to learn it. It was special to hear Alan sing this, made me think of my late granny who loved him.

I love the picture often little lady yearsinher eyes, I played this for my bible study leader who was dx with dementia, I get to spend time with her I read the bible to her, we have a great morning e We have church as the dayegins, I make her life richer, I will miss her but she will go on to be with the lord,we are made richer in spirit, the least I can do for her years of dedication to get others saved. Well done daughter. 😢
My mom used to sing this song to me when I was young and later on we would harmonize singing it together. Sadly she passed away August 5th. I will miss singing this song with her. I last sang it at her memorial service. May she R.I.P until we meet again ❤
My husband passed away 9 months ago unexpectedly and I had In the Garden by Alan Jackson played at his graveside service. My great niece made a video of the service with this song playing in the background. Every night since then before I go to bed I play that video and listen to Alan's beautiful voice singing as I picture my husband and Jesus walking and talking. This song gives me such comfort. This is my favorite song and it will be played at my service when I am called home. Thank you, Alan Jackson for recording it.
Loves this song ever so much. So spiritually uplifting. I play this on the piano almost every night at the facility where l work with my fellow nurse. I tear up whenever we sing this. Songs like this makes me want to be beneficent to mankind. Thank you Alan. You are the greatest.
This song by Alan, one of first songs I ever memorized! As a kid went to a one room Church with wooden floors, music sounded so good, an upright piano! I loved going to that church! All us Grandkids sat in backseat of an OLD car with small window in back! We were poor but had love! There was a well where we would fill up bucket for the kitchen! Barn loft to play in! We had no toys, made up own games! Miss those carefree days!
Love this song, one of my mom's favorite, it was played at her funeral, my mom went to heaven the day before she died, and came back to tell us about it, said it was so beautiful! seen past loved ones. HEAVEN IS FOR REAL
Those old churches were always something special to me too. That whole era when I was a little kid I think back on a lot now. The world is so lost now.
My grandpa was big into gardening and he loved this song so when he passed in 2015 we thought that it would be a fitting tribute to play it at his funeral and I still get teary eyed when I hear this song
I love to hear this song over and over. My pastor sang this during his preaching, I quickly searched for the song. It ministers to me, gives me hope, and joy. God bless Alan
This was my grandmas favorite song. She passed away two months ago. We sang this around her hospital bed after she was taken off the vent. It was also sang at her funeral. I know she is with God rejoicing and having a good time.

One of my most cherished hymns that I have ever lived. To sit by myself and the words, the joy I share with my Father is totally unbelievable. Tears purge my heart, soul and spirit. All is well, no matter the circumstances of my life, I know that God loves me.
Alan has such an anointing when he's singing this! I can feel the spirit of God all over me! Was one of my Momma's favorite songs n she'd sing it all thru out my young life, I Miss her so much, it's been 5 years now since she left us... Ty Alan Jackson, you are a true blessing to me
This was my grandfather's favorite song and I lost him when I was only 9 years old. I'm 64 years old now and I have never forgot my precious grandfather and I know someday I'll see him again !
Is there any other song in the world that is more powerful than this one? OMG the way my tears flow uncontrollably when I listen to it! Oh,glory to the LAMB🙏❤😢
Alan that was beautiful... Every time I hear that, live or album version, I bawl. We had that played at my cousin's funeral and my mother's funeral. Now I know they are at peace with the Almighty. But thank you SO MUCH for singing this. It helps me cope...
I love it when Alan sings this song. It is a beautiful song, and he has the most amazing voice, so when he sings this song, I wonder if the angels above sit up and take notice...
When my angel of a mother-in-law died three years ago, we all didn't hesitate to request that this wonderful hymn be played at her funeral, and as soon as we heard Alan's version, we knew at once exactly which recording it would be. This is definitely my favorite of all hymns, and there are many I love greatly.
In The Garden (Lyrics) I come to the garden alone While the dew is still on the roses And the voice I hear, falling on my ear The son of God discloses And he walks with me And he talks with me And he tells me I am his own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known I'd stay in the garden with him Though the night around me is falling But he bids me go Through the voice of woe His voice to me is calling And he walks with me And he talks with me And he tells me I am his own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known
There is nothing like the peace we feel in God's presence, whether in somg or prayer or just lying still listening for His voice. I feel that now as we all share our hardships and our love for the Lord. Where two or more are gathered there shall I be in the midst. God bless you all my brothers and sisters!

I can't listen to this without crying, my mom cried when she heard it, her grandma sang it to her when she was a kid, and now I think of both when I heard this and the old Rugged Cross. I fully understand what the lyrics are saying, Thank you You God for your son's sacrifice, Thank you Jesus, my heart, and my life are yours. I love you with all my heart.
These words were my Easter piece when I was 12. I'm over 70 and they still bring me back to my childhood church, home Calvery Baptist Church in Milwaukee WI; the wonderful memories, lessons love and yes tears come every time.❤
I LOVE these up lifting inspirational songs!! I now I have nothing to fear when I'm called home!! For I shall see my family who have crossed over. Oh, I know it will be a relief & peace in the heart.
I found out I was pregnant with my 1st child this September and I can't wait God blessed me and my husband with our baby and my mama sent me this song because I have been dealing with a lot of stress and feeling overwhelmed thank you mom I love you ❤️
Reminds me of my son... he was a country singer, and he would often sing for friends and family who had passed. This was one of his favorite songs to sing, although he always said it would be hard for him to sing without tearing up. He's in heaven, too, now... with his sister. Miss you both so much!
One of my favorite songs, as a child picked this out of Great Grandfather's piano! One note at a time, but always on of my favorites! God be with us all!
My mother loved this song. She passed at age 94 & had dimentia...once I put old Baptist hymns she sang word for word esp this one. It is so comforting to hear this.
I lost my husband almost 5 years ago and he actually went to heaven and came back to tell me what he saw. Miss him terribly after 37 years of marriage. Half my life

I feel closer to Jesus thru this song
I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses,
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses.
Refrain:
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing,
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing.
I’d stay in the garden with Him,
Though the night around me be falling,
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling.

We have church as the dayegins, I make her life richer, I will miss her but she will go on to be with the lord,we are made richer in spirit, the least I can do for her years of dedication to get others saved. Well done daughter. 😢
My mom used to sing this song to me when I was young and later on we would harmonize singing it together. Sadly she passed away August 5th. I will miss singing this song with her. I last sang it at her memorial service. May she R.I.P until we meet again ❤
My Dad's favorite.
In the garden in my favorite hymn. Alan Jackson sings it so beautifully
@@judyjohnson4592 Hello👋 beautiful! How are you doing?
I Love Forever, Our Christian Love of Our Heavenly Father, And, Jesus Christ, and Our LOVE OF EACH OTHER 🇨🇦🌎🇺🇸
My grandpa was big into gardening and he loved this song so when he passed in 2015 we thought that it would be a fitting tribute to play it at his funeral and I still get teary eyed when I hear this song
❤️❤️
She is with the king❤
Eternal rest grant unto her, Lord.
May perperual light shine on her.
May she rest in peace.

In The Garden (Lyrics)
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The son of God discloses
And he walks with me
And he talks with me
And he tells me I am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
I'd stay in the garden with him
Though the night around me is falling
But he bids me go
Through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling
And he walks with me
And he talks with me
And he tells me I am his own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
Thank you so very much for adding the lyrics in English!!

@@peggyevans1685 yeah that’s right,so what’s your favorite song from Alan
There is nothing like the peace we feel in God's presence, whether in somg or prayer or just lying still listening for His voice. I feel that now as we all share our hardships and our love for the Lord. Where two or more are gathered there shall I be in the midst. God bless you all my brothers and sisters!
This was my grandmother’s favorite hymn. Hearing it reminds me of her and her love for Jesus! I miss you, Nanny! See you soon! ❤

This is the best way to spend a Saturday afternoon, listening to all the Alan Jackson songs on his play list.

Reminds me of my son... he was a country singer, and he would often sing for friends and family who had passed. This was one of his favorite songs to sing, although he always said it would be hard for him to sing without tearing up. He's in heaven, too, now... with his sister. Miss you both so much!
Hugs to you, we'll be home soon. What a reunion that will be.😁

This song resonates in my soil. For the last few nites before I turn the lights out I play this. It comforts me and feels like iam walking with Jesus.
