And here's when I first got the amp :)
ua-cam.com/video/MQbY1KYWCRE/v-deo.html
Why not the awsome red Superstrat for van halen riff? Btw awsome video as always🎸👌🏽🤟🏽
Top 10 riffs you need a guitar for!
hahahahahaha Oh now i have to make this video
Spoilers: All of them XD
What about 10 you Don't need a guitar for...? (and play some bass?), Next maybe riffs you need a boosted Marshall for?
Smoke on the water and Smells like teen spirit. Definitely those two!
Adolfo Herrera seek and destroy was played with a boosted Marshall
Marshal + Les Paul = Heaven
Metal Maniac or SG
@@krimag7582 Or V, or ex[lorer, they are pretty much the same, it's a Gibson signature sound, 2 humbuckers, mahogany.
Basically any GN'R or AC/DC riff.
jordan mitchell I thought Slash always used Gibsons though
Avery Garrison Nice troll
Avery Garrison nice bait
You forgot basically every hair metal band lol
Instant props just because the first riff you played was Spinal Tap
Andrew Pappas it's funny that that's a spinal tap riff because I hadn't heard it before and I thought it was a really sick riff
Besides the obviously great playing, the real star of this video is the Marshall Origin! Those are absolutely some of the best Marshall tones I've ever heard and all for a very affordable price. It seems like it can really cover the gamut of classic tones too... from slightly broken up with a strat all the way to full on r&r roar. Glorious!
Oh god!! I got goosebumps when you started playing "let me put my love into you", you nailed the tone Robert!!
the audio on this clip is outstanding Rob..well done...just the right amount of breakup from the new Marshall with the LP...a 'no doubter' on the sound of the 70s. Again, well done!
Love your content Robert, you are only youtube guitarist who always sticks with classics!
thanks Mark
I've noticed more and more that UA-camrs are started to have "signature" or well known guitars that they use. Like Rob Scallon and his ML1, Tyler Larson and his green PRS, and now it seems almost strange to see you without that badass Les Paul with the two white humbuckers.
Zachary Sedlar to me, his lavaburst Charvel will always be The One. Ever since I saw it I knew I wanted one just like it.
edthejester Well yea but it's not just that I like his Les Paul. It seems like ever since he got it he has used it so often it's weird to see him without it. That's why it seems to be almost an identifying characteristic of him. And I used to think that way about his purple Acacia because he used to play the crap out if it. But these days it's the Les Paul, at least for now.
Gotta give props for the awesome riffs in this video. Perfect sound!
I bought 1959RR SLP 100w Marshall. Dude this amp rips, it is the loudest amp I've every heard. Tone for days. Beautiful highs and mids.
I know it’s a relatively easy song to play but I must say you absolutely nailed the feel of sunshine of your love!
Thanks so much :)
You guys knew I'd be making this video sooner or later :p
Robert Baker love your videos, man. Also, I'm sure that you've answered it, but I haven't seen it. What do you do to your hair to get it that glorious?
haha thanks, Alexander and to be honest i do absolutely nothing to my hair lol
Robert Baker gahhhhhhh... It's not fair. 😂😂 I need to know so I can grow out my 80's rocker hair. Lol
Any tips for 2 string vibrato with your index finger? I.e, D and G string
had to do it to em
This reminds me of why I love a great Les Paul/Marshall great vid!
Just bought my first Marshall and 1/4 stack. Should be here this week. To say I'm excited is a gross understatement.
More Clapton! Your tone was spot on for cream and I figure it’s gotta be right in your wheel-house for play style as well. Rock on my man 🤘
I was about to comment Cold Gin cuz I honestly didn’t think it’d be on the list and it sounds amazing through my origin and then you broke it out!
There it is
You know!!!
YES Dad licks and all love it.
Have no idea where some of the negative comments are coming from regarding the Marshall Origin series. That amp sounds absolutely fantastic!!
Dude me either it sounds amazing worth every penny
Because its a Marshall thats not 20 years old. People will hate regardless of if it sounds great.
There will always be haters but the masses know you can't go wrong with a Marshall, love mine.
I have an origin 50 I love it
It has great clean tones, too. Any pedal, even multi-effects sound good through it. Loud as everything, though.
I appreciate the fact that this list goes to 11.
Your acacia+revv combo has a killer tone, but as a marshall lover this is your best ever man! Great playing :)
Great tone and beautiful les paul.
Holy sh!t. That guitar / amp combo sounds amazing.
You’re nailing those classic rock tones.
That Hendrix riff was CLEAN!
Yes, Cold Gin. You sure you don't have Ace's Guitar from the KISS Alive days? Love it😎🎸
if your marshall can't go to 11 you can't play a spinal tap track
Tute Sinnott got a point there..............no 11 setting on the amp....no spinal tap
I LOVE "Steal Away"! Nice choice! AND you snuck in some Tap!
For real, I think that LP is my favorite on youtube.
Played the 20 watt head through a 4x12 Marshall cab it sounded bloody amazing
LP + Marshall = Heaven
I'm so glad you used a Tele for Zepp this time!
I have this amp - to get the sounds you are getting - I have to run a power attenuator. It is a monster of an amp. Side note - put a Soul-Bender in front of it (dirt at 50%) and it absolutely NAILS "Whole Lotta Love" - especially when using a Tele.
Could you please tell me what speakers and/or pedals you are using?
Love how you played drop dead legs!!
10 riffs you need an air guitar for!!
Bohemian Rhapsody off the top of my head
Master of puppets
Back in Black
Man that tele sounds great through that Marshall!
An underrated GNR riff in a Robert Baker video? Seems like June 6 was my lucky day.
The way you play Cold Gin is very interesting. I think of Alive when I think of Cold Gin, and if memory serves, it is played more stucatto.
My man!! Didn't expect some Spinal Tap! Hella luv to ya for that one. Also a little Yngwie is never a bad thing when talking about Marshall amps. I dig your work.
Plus 'All Right Now' by Free (Paul Kossoff on Les Paul/Marshall)...and the list goes on and on...
Live gigs by Free show a Marshall, but just read that the studio recording might have been through an original 'Selmer Treble and Bass' amp...everyday is a school day.
I like the riff you did at the beginning. I am trying to work it out by watching video slow. Think I got it.
Dude ......... I subscribe to you for 3 reasons, 1 you're not high on coc in every vid, 2 you don't wear nail polish , 3 you're one of the greatest guitarists I've ever heard in UA-cam
Oh and I forgot, you don't always shred when you demo vids , take notes Rob Chapman, and I was talking about you Phil X
Hahahaha thanks so much
Yeah that does sound pretty darn good. And that les paul
Ace, more than likely was playing a 70's LP Custom for that as well.
Ahh some Marshall content!
You rock my man!
Kick ass! I got one on order from Sweetwater! Should be here Monday! Your reviews helped in my decision! Thank you brother!🤙😎
As always sounds great
But still think the guitar from yesterday was like you
It just made you so natural like fluid
I agree I've been savign to buy that one for awhile now. Im just borrowing it at the moment
so glad you put some yngwie in there
before you piss your pants too much about having a Marshall .... Your tone with the Acacia, and the Revv is awesum
His tone is always great :)
I think the Revv is far more versatile. And overall sounds better I just like the sound of the Marshall as well
Lower gain Marshalls are just pure tone! The most recorded amplifier in history for good reason nothing beats a marshall nothing... except maybe another Marshall LOL!
I found a Marshall Origin 50 watt head at a nearby store for $549, should I go for it?
I need to find a cab, too.
nah just get the 20
Caleb D Why though? I like playing with power.
@@FEAROWNAGE No difference between the 50 and the 20 except wattage. Tubescreamer would help if you want a cranked sound.
Connect your Axe to your interface ins and outs. Select the effects only patches and use Logic to send your Marshall sound out a hardware output and use the return channel of it to record the raw Marshall and AxeFX separately. You can then base the effects off of random gear. You can also oversaturate the effects to gain access to studio quality sounds. Keep an eye on levels, you have +4 coming from the TwoNotes and may need to set interface & AxeFX accordingly. Also, the return might be too hot so reduce the send, because the returns are usually not adjustable in hardware.
Did you use an extra Distortion pedal for the Ozzy riff? Or was it just plain Marshall? Because I remember Randy used a cranked Marshall tone, with an MXR distortion pedal on the side.
We all knew it was coming.
hahaha
Lovin’ it, Robert! I have the Origin 20 head and love it with my LP. Are you going straight in, or using any pedals?
Boston rocks !! Favorite band ever
Green River it's funny I love Boston too never got enough into them though to learn the band members, even though all my other favorite bands I know every person and their gear
CANNIBALCORPSE666 The singer had an amazing mellow high range voice.
Got this in lay away plan at Sam ash. Plus I have also is my wonderful studio classic jcm 800
10 riffs to do without a guitar pick?
LOVE IT!
I’m No Angel - Winery Dogs
Money for Nothing!
Yeahhh! The Riff Machine is back!
King Jon, the First of His Name you know nothing Jon snow.
drop dead legs has szch a great freaking riff and you nailed it.
How is the amp with pedals ? Good for bluessy and hard rock tones?
Drop Dead legs sounded incredible! Very very close to the original!
Great playing!
How badass is that Drop Dead Legs riff. Seriously though. Amazing. Got a tab for that?
Yep.. knew this was coming.....LOL.....good stuff Bobby!!! By the way, great job switching.. cam work has gotten top shelf brotha!! And.....oh yeah, the "woman" tone by Clapton... a must for LP owners to know....LOL
thanks homie :)
Awesome. Robert you're the man! Gibson+Marshall absolute killer combo!
Marshall+ les Paul = epic slash sound 🔥
I love and envy the style that you play!!!. Awesome sound and perfect combination ... marshall/les paul ... What else?!. Thanks Robert for your videos
a couple of times there it sounded like you were gonna bust out some I Am A Real American! Brother!
Of course there’s gonna be a GNR song. First thought, which song?! Good choice
The amp is a Marshall Origin 50
Great combination & great playing bro!!!!
Top 10 riffs you need money for
That amp sounds great. Have you ever done a video on that Strat?
Amazing les paul tone
Did you use any OD pedals or use the boost? Great tones
My Katana will do😉
Kevin Musso same xD
Kevin Musso lol he said kantana
ITS COLD GIN TIME AGAIN!!!
U really got good sense for beauty. your Guitar are wonderfull! And under your hands sound so good dude!
I'm surprised you didn't include "Fire Woman by The Cult" in this, that would have been cool. Rock on man!!
NIce tones and playing, what are the extra knobs on the strat for?
Were you using any pedals? Is this all just LP + Marshall Origin? What are your pickups? Thanks so much!! Rad video!
very nice Robert, you have some lovely guitars and amps in your room.
Sick Again. Thanks for that !
What settings are you using? Sounds great. I might get this amp but I don’t want to have to dime it.
*Owns multiple strats
Plays Eddie Van Halen on a Les Paul
😂🤣😂😁
Plan on getting the combo of the origin 50
That Gibson is amazing looking. What’s the finish called? I want it
I’m curious as to your recording setup, I have a Marshall origin 20w head coming soon and I am wondering how to use it to record onto my MacBook, so just wondering how you capture everything?
I hit the like button so hard, the video got two likes
Now thats what im talking about!
Keep up the amazing work my man!
What happened to your mouse tho?
Rudy Ayoub I used touchscreen. The screen broke tho
That sounds great. What cab and speakers are you using with that Origin?
What a beauty to see how sounds good my Origin 50H when played by someone who knows how to play guitar 😄😄 and the gas for other ampli just go away...
Hey robert were u using an attenuator with your amp? What pedals were u using if i may ask?
Yes a Marshall is required for Spinal Tap, including a Marshall stack guitar for the lead on 'Bitch School.'
You should show us some SRV he used marshals for his cleans!
Amazing sound and playing Robert!
I'm playing strat an les paul i would get 20w amp.. wich is better sound to get hendrix and page?
Thanks
Studio vintage vs origin 20?
@@jordifernandez4867 I got my origin 50 today and I have to say it’s fantastic for zeppelin but I haven’t played any Hendrix yet, but definitely fantastic for zeppelins
Thinking of getting the 20 watt combo I got a les Paul copy Harley Benton sc500 vintage in white and gold hardware
Hey Rob are you using the reverb on your effects unit or is it a pedal? Sounds-great!
Dude you sound awesome night can't believe I haven't seen this !!!! Bad ass !!!
I think the KM might be the 59' of the 70's era LP's.
