GREAT as usual! I was VERY PROUD to MARCH with the VETS and your timing was impeccable with the Drum Beat and all us Old Blokes never missed a step ! ( Royal Army Medical Corps Veteran)
As honorary members of the 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division, Polar Bear Association the Band wear their Polar Bear insignia on their scarlet red tunics. We are indeed very proud to 'keep the old bear alive' on behalf if the Polar Bear Association and so the sash and our drums now bear their battle honours and their standard hangs in the Band Room at Warley on the site of the former base of the Essex Regiment.
@@BrentwoodBand That is really impressive. It would be cool if we in Staffordshire had a youth band like it, with affiliations to regiments or divisions. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be military style youth bands I could join (except ACF Corps of drums I guess). Perhaps one day. Glad you are keeping traditions alive!
