Sounds like the drive belt or a gear has deteriorated or snapped. The motor still turned but the rest was unable to move.

I needed this video you don't understand! I had a wuv luv that I took its skin off and it looked exactly like that. I kept it on my shelf turned off and every once and a while it would make those creepy sounds anyway. and one day the shelf broke and it fell while making a "whee!" sound and the plastic broke so I peeled that off too and then I had an extra creepy wired and broken wuv luv that would make even creepier sounds because the voice box had gotten damaged.
Forgot all about this (you know, blocked out trauma and all that lolol) until I went to an art show and there was an alien creature that looked just like it and I felt insane. I needed proof it was real and it was so thank youuuu!! Imma go sob now
