I am a 62 years old lds from Brazil, while serving a mission in my country I met a rlds missionary at bus station...we set together and talked a lot about the book of mormon and our mission experiences...we had a good time!...since that time I have a great respect for others restoration branchs
Thank you! I grew up with “RLDS “ peers in school but was repeatedly warned that they believed Joseph Smith was a fallen prophet, that the book of Mormon was not scripture, that they had distorted the doctrine and covenants dramatically. I uncritically accepted these things as a youth was not helpful to me or my peers I may have had a far better relationship with. It saddens me, but today’s broadcast gives me hope, brought me joy, and I hope that our traditions can befriend one another and trust the Lord in time will make all things right.
Thank you for what you do. The tone you both have is really the only tone that opens these doors of understanding and connection for me so far. Thanks. 🙂
I drove through Orderville over the weekend, on my way to Kanab. Beautiful country. I've wondered if a non-LDS person could live in Ordeville and co-exist with the locals.
Thank you for a very thoughtful program. The more I learn about the "community", the more I appreciate their approach to the restoration. Also, I have wondered if JS, had encounters with "bad spirits" that affected his ego. To consider that a man in Joseph's era felt the need to be involved intimately with so many girls and women is rather baffling. Also, when I read the Book of Mormon and meditate on the in person words of Jesus himself, the words (to me) do not feel like the voice God. .. the BoM has so many quirky problems, I have come to view the book as the voices of imposter spirits concocting stories through a superstitious medium young Joseph. I'm sorry to say; but, once the "imposter spirit" idea gets into your way of viewing the BoM, it is difficult to not view the book that way.

Polygamy was the cause of thousands leaving the church, and the church missionary convert baptisms nosediving after 1852.
The repetitive music during the introduction is very distracting. I found it difficult to hear what you were saying.
Nah I love the music. Keep it in
