Hello - Not sure if you will see this, but I downloaded the profile, and am under Ankermate-CE M5 but its not giving me an option for zlift. Do you know if that option has been moved with an update or called something else? Sorry, Im just a beginner at learning 3d printing.
On the newer version of PrusaSlicer it is not an option, if you download the same version he is using in the video, it is. However, it would be nice to know where this option is on the newer version.
Thank you for this very helpful guide. I've been searching for a way to do this with my M5 and the information is scattered or provided for other printers. I used the shell script to install the profile and I got only a Generic PETG @ANKER-CE Filament preset. Where can I get the other material presets that you have?
Hi, Great video and instruction! Anyway, I didn't get it completely 😪 At 5:34 you say that you are saving the file to your flash drive. Did you save as 3mf, as stl, as G-Code, or else? Which filetype will be on the flash drive? Thanks for helping!
I totally agree. That and we need resonance compensation (which I hear is in the works). Many folks will still prefer the core xy of Bambu but if I get clean results not sure how much that matters in the end.
will this work for m5c as i tried it adn it came up with printer Error before it started? i exported the gcode and put it into ankermake studio and hit print to send wirless and it just said print error?
I've been using this method with my M5C. Make sure you don't have any special characters in your filenames. Anytime a file has commas ,,, or underscores ___ or anything like that it fails. Hopefully that fixes your problem!
I have a Duet and a Klipper printer I believe both support M600. So other than your nozzle change G code, you really don't need to know anything about M600. I assume this can all be done from a computer console. I no longer have displays on my printers. Really want to try changing colors. Very cool. Have you tried Hue Forge?
Could I possibly get some advice I have tried the 2.7 version and the 2.5 version and every time I try to copy the code it will not let me put anything in the tool change and it only allows me to to use one of the 15 profiles it installs from the config bundle
I use the same technique with my Prusa MK3S+. A couple notes: if using other print (not printer) profile as the starting profile you may need to check the "Multiple Extruders" tab of the "Print" profile to turn off the wipe tower. Also, on my Prusa printer the M600 will absolutely spit out the filament that is currently loaded on M600 so the color change at the very beginning of the print is annoying. I solved that by using a conditional in the tool change custom g-code. To do this put "{if layer_z>0}" before the gcode copied from the color change gcode, and put "{endif}" at the end (no quotation marks, and the parentheses looking symbols are the curly brackets). So, if the color change gcode being copied is only M600, the tool change gcode will be: {if layer_z>0} M600 {endif} I used this technique to print a bird inlay into a birdseed scoop. I just had to baby-sit the print to change the color once a layer until the bottom of the scoop was done. Yeah, it did tie me to the printer for about half an hour, but I think the results were worth it. You can see my make here: www.thingiverse.com/make:669228
I am really new to this. I tried to follow your instruction but you lost me. You left no instruction on what file is needed to attached for the nozzle box download then how to add to add you printer that you are using at home. very confusing for a newbie. you need to add step by step instruction
I would love to see more videos on the ankermake printers.
Thank you for this! You should keep making videos for the M5
Great instructional video for the M5.
Thanks for the tip about the flash drive. I didn't know it could be removed after the print starts.
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Would love to see how to do this in OrcaSlicer

Trey hope you're well and happy 2024.
I wonder if you can help, does your custom marlin neptune 2 firmware support the geeetech 3dtouch?
On the filament change you dont hit retract and just pull the filament out? Is this correct , noob here and want to make sure ...
Can't wait for the v6 color engine to be release and the change to prusa for the baked in slicer. It will seriously be major competitor to bambu.

This is correct. I showed my dad how to do it I'm his ender with a creality pad. Works fine. I am going to look at Hue Forge some time soon!

Do you plan on updating the Ankermake profile to reflect the all metal hot end?
Can I use this on ender3?
100% just use M600 in the tool change gcode

Thanks for the great tip... Works like a charm here.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I was able to find instructions that actually work.

Man just write a macro for that filament change so it moves and unloads for ya
