This was such a touching tribute to your ancestors. I literally teared up when Kate and Oscar were sitting and sewing this their grandmother. 🥰 You are all just so lovely.
I have no words...which is rare..lol! Absolutely moving and lovely video. Sharing your history, your collection and the ending with Nannie and Oscar and Kate working on doll clothes and pillow brought tears, but happy ones. This is such a joyful place to spend time. I am grateful.
Enjoyed this one very much. I am amazed that you can make something special out of bits and pieces. Thank you for your hard work and time in making these videos.
I absolutely Adored watching this video and my Heart is so touched that you chose to share such an important part of your life with me, with us. We Love You all the more. The gifts you received must have been an overwhelming surprise. Bless their Hearts. There are so many kind-hearted people and so many Love you. Before you know it, you'll need an add on to your house for the gifts. When you give you receive. It's a natural law of the universe. : ) Oscar made the perfect pillow for your Lovely LouElla and you made a fine outfit for her Kate.Did I hear you say her name is LouElla? That was cute when Sunny decided to include his twinkle toes in the film shot of arms and hands, legs and feet. That still shot applied to a canvas bag for bottle or beach glass hunting, sure would be cool.Sand colored with turquoise or black outline and lettering? Hugs, pets and scratches wherever appropriate, from Nance, a Nor Cali Gal. : )
Amazing the bits and pieces the Doll House held. Every room filled with wonder, enough to make one smile or giggle. The Parlor was busy full of dolls, some barely clothed and others well...naked. Not even a pair of knickers. Oh but they had their foot wear covered. They were all sitting around as if an afternoon Tea and crumpets party was about to happen. Lovely "Edwardian" blouse daughter had on. And Oscar, so cute and bubbly like sister. Nice that he knows how to sew. Seems to be a forgotten art here in the states (USA-California) for some. So kuddos to Oscar. The itsy bitsy doll turned out perfectly. Makes me wish I could be in the 4th seat at your table, making my own little doll. Taking the "Norma" name is a heart warming idea. My Mom's name was Wilma Jean. I love that name. So thank you so much for the relaxing feel-good video, it was amazing.
Some ideas for crafting with the things you guys find mudlarking. You can craft wind chimes out of the porcelain plates, cups, pieces of glass, sea glass, stuff like that. You make keychain, you can bore a hole in the item about them on a key chain. You could make sun catchers with the sea glass. You make earrings or mini mosaics. Or even Christmas tree ornaments. For other ideas you can check out pinterest. I hope you try some of these things at some point. 💕💜💕💜💕💜💕🥰👍🏻🇬🇧🇩🇰🇬🇧
I love that you have Mudlarkers sending in babies in need. How sweet is that! The Black Man pipe is amazing. So much detail and in such great shape. Love watching you two. It's always so exciting to see your finds. I wish I could do the same. Enjoy your sewing and see you in the next clip. Nancy, SC, USA
Kate, you and your grandmother could be twins. You look absolutely beautiful in this video, like an edwardian lady. I do enjoy watching your videos, there is something magical about them and they give me warm fuzzies. Your videos have been comforting and they help take my mind off the chronic pain in my legs. I thank you for that. 💕💜💕💜💕💜💕🇬🇧🇩🇰🇬🇧
Much love to you both, from your fellow crahfter from Canada’s gorgeous East Coast! I actually kinda’ really love how you say it, Fleur...never stop! Repeat after me...”embrace the ‘crahft!’” Your ability to create little worlds in your quiet, thoughtfully produced vlogs is outstanding (former tv producer here). I am entranced not only by your mudlarking enchantment and enthusiasm, but your thoughtful approach to crafting. I adore your mum/nan’s dollhouse and all the treasures inside. I cannot wait to get started, and I have some gifts in mind for you based on some things I made for my stepdaughter’s doll house about 20 years ago. 😸 Fuzz McGee sends his regards to Sunny.
Another amazing video. Looking at the doll collection from Norma [nannie] was just awesome. I like the doll hospital, and that you ones are carrying on her legacy. That doll house was fantastic. Thank you both for sharing.
I have some china dolls.all modern, and yes they are quite creepy, but also lovely.a reminder of years gone by,when toys were real, not plastic, the junk that is sold today for kids, absolute rubbish, and so tacky, this is real, and so cute,so authentic, and lovingly restored, xxxxx
Beautiful story of your grandmother. The dolls are gorgeous. My Mother made dolls as well, but all the parts were fabric, with yarn as hair. My grand-daughter has them now.
Fantastic video and you are all truly talented. The doll you made is adorable and what a lovely way to Honour your great grandma by naming a doll you made after her . Love the gifts that you received as well . Can’t wait till Sunday’s video 👍
What magnificent dollhouse with many miniture objects and furnishings. What great family history all intertwined around sewing, creating and repairing extraordinary dolls.
So beautiful,I remember being a kid and we could take our broken dolls to the dolls hospital in Walthamstow and the chimes of your clock remind me of being at my two elderly spinster aunts house for tea every Sunday.Thank you
Jon Seymour definitely.going back to Romford scrumping apple’s and playing knock down ginger and then climbing over the corona bottle factory and getting the empties to take into the offie for the sixpence, eating shellfish winkles etc for Sunday tea with bread and butter.kids definitely had a much better lifestyle then we would be out early morning with jam sandwiches over the park the whole day 😀
Ah, doll rescuers from a line of them! I so enjoyed Norma's history...and didn't the tiny "Norma" turn out lovely? And Oscar sews, that's awesome! Beautiful gifts you received!😊💖
I LOVE your doll collection! Each one is amazing! I collect dolls and resell online. Your collection is quite collectible and valuable. The European German and French dolls are collected by many here in the US. I don’t know enough about them. I collect more Mid Century American. 1950 1960 mostly
I absolutely will be watching it. I love making dolls. I have one needing repair with a similar short neck to the one remade in your video. I keep wrestling with the idea that maybe I can extend her neck with milliput (sp) after seeing you use it. An extended neck will allow the dolls head to be more stably attached when wired or sewn back on.
Wow! now I see where your love of dolls comes from! How wonderful to have three generations working together to give this doll a new life. Welcome Norma. All those gifts are amazing, there are some lovely people out there 😍 x
Kate really did look Edwardian whilst stitching. Not many young people still know how to handle a needle and thread, so kudos to you, Fleur, and your Mum, for keeping Kate and Oscar grounded in the domestic arts. How wonderful of you to share your family history of doll reclamation -- you come by it naturally to have your own manufacture of reclaimed doll parts into whole ones.
The Doll House 🏠 is beautiful and magical! I would love to see it all in detail and items explained ...I'm sure it's all amazing! Thank you for sharing!❤️
Norma certainly was beautiful what a lovely story you certainly did a fab job and Oscar's pillow is Awesome 🤗. I started sewing some years ago and nobody in our family does it they all hate it. I was drawn to it and all antiques sewing orientated items. I was given 2 singer sewing machines which i absolutely adore. It wasnt till i found out that my great grandma was a seamstress by doing the family tree did i realise maybe that's where my love comes from😊. I really enjoyed watching your videos and i hope you make more doll parts to sell as id love to make one too💝
You beautiful girls have inspired me to get my son house out. The family history is a wonderful touch. BTW is Kate looking for a lovely Australian young man, 27 tall, thin, beautiful quiet soul.
Oh my Goodness Girls, this is the Best Video yet, Yeah😍, just love how your Grams had a doll hospital, love the old Dolls, You guys make me so Happy, (I have major depression disorder) Thank You ever so much, wish I could send you pics, have lots of China head dolls in cabinet.😁👀🤯❤️🧡💛💚💙💜😻
Very nice complement. I also suffer from major depression.and I completely understand what you're saying about their videos something about the family being together the way they are!
This video has such a wonderful muted and relaxed mood. Excellent camerawork and music. I love how intergenerational the craft was and how generous the mudlarking community is! A beautiful gift tied with a soft pink organza bow.
On my lunch break now and was really happy to see sweet Nancy, Toffee and Eddie! Please include more of your critters. 🥰Also, maybe you two can add some of these videos to your miniatures channel? You can label it “double” or something similar for your existing viewers so we know it has been uploaded by you before. Love both of your channels. Take care, ladies!
best way for arms and legs is to turn the fabric wrong side out, insert the arm or leg, then the thread is wrapped tightly with the fabric around the groove at the top of the limb. Then you turn it right side out and stuff it.
Thank you for that wistful and contemplative film. Wonderful to see the hand skills with fabrics being passed from Grandmother to Grandaughter and Grandson. The dolls house was astonishing. Music had an almost Debussy like wistful quality. Also the Arnolfini and His Wife esque moment in the dolls house didn't go unnoticed.
I have Three words for you....Please adopt me!!! Your family is so amazing, I loved this video so much I cant even begin to tell you! Your mums house is beautiful and I adore her 3 little furbabies. I loved the family history behind the doll making, just Wow!! The doll and the outfit Kate made is truly stunning and the little perfect little pillow is fabulous. (Well done Oscar!) I say it after watching each one of your videos but this one has to be my favourite...🥰 I love that your lovely fans have sent you those amazing gifts, you absolutely deserve them! Have a lovely break and thank you so much...I'll get the adoption papers ready! 🤣🤣
I love the little doll that you made and the little dress and the way you put the little bead on it made it look beautiful the yellow little bead make the the color come out
Enjoyed the video very much. I’m not very crafty when it comes to sewing. Your dolls came out so good! Learning about your Grandma and the doll hospital was nice too! Now you have a lot of babies to fix up! Change of pace . I loved it!💕💞💖🥰 (Sherry Crane)
Wow what a gorgeous little doll Norma is ❤😊 and a perfect companion to Bitsy 👍😊 Looks like you both have the doll hospital gene and that is special. Thanks for sharing your lovely video 😊❤
As always your video is so enjoyable. There is something about watching your videos that I find very therapeutic. I love the puppies are they new or do they belong to someone else. Kate you resemble your nannies photos. Oscar my grandmama and mama believed that all young men should learn to sew, cook and clean for themselves. I hope you will continue put in the effort to learn these things for yourself, one day you will be glad you did.
I love that dollhouse. I miss both my Grans who each were named Mary and my Great Gran Laura who was born in 1868 and died in 1962 and may have played with similar dolls. The “clown” head looks like the head of an Asian dancer or goddess possible Thailand
Well done Kate! Like Al said, your channel is magical, from your crafting, to your film locations, to the excitement you feel when you find something amazing that other people might see as rubbish. It is so nice to see talent being passed down from generation to generation and I am glad Oscar got in on the action as well. Sewing and doll repair are not just for females, highlighted by the fact that the original dolls hospital owner was a man. I really enjoy all of your videos and crafting and I hope you are having fun making them too. The doll house was beautiful as well!
Rewatching this little treasure. The sound of scissors on the table, cutting through material brings back fond memories of my childhood, watching and listening to my own mother sew us clothes and makes crafts. I really loved this video. Thanks so much for sharing it! 🥰❤️
Dear wonderful family. Oh....what a nice lovely film. All members of our family are crafting so.......wonderful items. I love your family stories, the Ladys are so clever and strong persons. Thank you so much for this Video. And.....the doll is coming home. Thank you for the gifts. Ich habe mich so gefreut!!!!!!!!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
you are such a lovely family.other people see your enthusiasm and it shows when they send you amazing pieces from their collections.keep doing what you do so well.x
Oops😱,(little) Norma seems to have lost her boot mudlarking down by the Thames😉🤭. Silly little poppet!! Love, love, love the family past history of doll "rescuers". Your lineage goes so far back, and now continues to the present. OUTSTANDING 🙌👏!! It's a marvel how those precious mini doll house decorations and furniture have survived till this day. And that you yourselves even manage to find a few here and there... AMAZING 😯!!! Thanks for letting us see your Nan's collection. It absolutely beautiful 🥰🤩. 🕉️✌️🤗😘
Love how Norma turned out! The family history of remaking/repairing dolls is so cool! I also love how you take the discarded and give it new life. I find it very inspirational and plan to do more of it in my making. Wonderful video ladies thank you!
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that! Every bit of it. I love that you know that much history about your family and that you have things from family members that far back. The picture of the shop that your mother lived above, along with the picture of your great grandmother was amazing. All of you sitting around sewing was such a beautiful thing to see. Then the end with all those wonderful gifts you've received. You must have gone bonkers when you opened it all. I would have loved to see your reaction to those wonderful pipes, bottles, dolls, and figurines. The gift givers can feel confident that you will appreciate them all, and that's what makes giving fun. So, I'm sure you made them happy as well. Thank you for another great video. :-D
This episode has been absolutely delightful to watch - thank you so much for sharing the Family business with us, especially that gorgeous dolls house!!! It was so beautiful ❤. It's always so calming and interesting watching your adventures and crafting; can't wait to see the rest of those beautiful heads become little people now!!
You are so talented..little Norma is so sweet..the dollhouse is fabulous..my mother was born in Leyland England..she told me a story when is was little a friend had a grand dollhouse it even had a toilet that flushed my mother loved it but the friend who owned it wasn’t that into it..love your content all the best be safe cheers debbie from Vancouver Canada 👍❤️🇨🇦

yay first comment!!! what a Wonderfull craft and amazing history!!!! :) :) :) :) I love how you have made this doll in memory of you nan! That is so sweet! this film, like many of your others feel so emotional and happy at the same time, which makes it really realistic and good!!! My gran is called norma too! What a co-incidence!!!!!!
I like your doll Norma and am sure your grandma Norma was watching over you while making her. Loved the dolls house with all those small and intricate pieces inside. Amazing how they made them so small. Was lovely to watch and see some of the dolls history. Thank you
OMG THE DOLLHOUSE! I’ve never seen one like that besides queen Mary’s. The amount of detail blew me completely away!
The personal history is what makes this video stand out as amazing along with your beautifully crafted folk obviously x
Thank you Sarah :)
It's so nice to see such generosity. I am also loving seeing knowledge being passed on from generation to generation.
This was such a touching tribute to your ancestors. I literally teared up when Kate and Oscar were sitting and sewing this their grandmother. 🥰 You are all just so lovely.

It brought back memories of my grandmother teaching me quilting squares!
It's amazing how far back your family has been doing this. Wonderful family tradition. ❤
The doll house was amazing! I really, really enjoyed this video immensely!

I absolutely Adored watching this video and my Heart is so touched that you chose to share such an important part of your life with me, with us. We Love You all the more.

That was cute when Sunny decided to include his twinkle toes in the film shot of arms and hands, legs and feet. Thank you so much your continued support it means so much! The little doll is called Norma after my grandmother :)
The dogs are my mum`s. Oscar is not so great at the cleaning and cooking yet :)
It makes me SO HAPPY to know that your family is in the world.
Norma is lovely. Just like bitsy.
I love that dollhouse. I miss both my Grans who each were named Mary and my Great Gran Laura who was born in 1868 and died in 1962 and may have played with similar dolls. The “clown” head looks like the head of an Asian dancer or goddess possible Thailand
Nanny Normas Dolls House was perfect....A delight
Well done Kate! Like Al said, your channel is magical, from your crafting, to your film locations, to the excitement you feel when you find something amazing that other people might see as rubbish. It is so nice to see talent being passed down from generation to generation and I am glad Oscar got in on the action as well. Sewing and doll repair are not just for females, highlighted by the fact that the original dolls hospital owner was a man. I really enjoy all of your videos and crafting and I hope you are having fun making them too. The doll house was beautiful as well!
Thank you so much Robin your continued support is very much appreciated :)
What an awesome doll collection. That’s wonderful.❤️

Thank you so much Juliet!! (:
Love how Norma turned out! The family history of remaking/repairing dolls is so cool! I also love how you take the discarded and give it new life. I find it very inspirational and plan to do more of it in my making. Wonderful video ladies thank you!
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! We really appreciate gifts from our viewers so much :)
