Actually what happened on the execution day was that Otto WAS the one who released that Honkai beast into execution ground. His plan was that he took Kallen away amidst the confusion. But he underestimated Kallen resolve. She slapped him and decided to save the masses instead and died because of it. Imagine Otto feelings that day

First of all, Amazing video like always Second, Otto isn't a simp, he never loved kallen, he lived onto the regret that he actually killed her because of him liberating a Honkai Beast to liberate her, he acted like a villain pursuing a way to revive kallen and when he realized how to actually do it, he burned all bridges and had no one to ask for help, so he did the singlest most selfish thing he can do and gave his own life to create a single world where kallen doesn't die (since in every universe, kallen dies no matter what) Also, you cut off the Best part where he actually explains that he let Kiana and Durandal actually put him on a near Death state just so he could reach the imaginary tree and create a branch where Kallen lives

First of all amazing content as always, love the passion you put in. So, he did not revive Kallen or travel back in time to save her, he just created an alternate timeline in which Kallen survives and it had no effect on the main world. The Yae stuff all happened. After she was imprisoned in the manga, Otto set's her free and she runs away with the black box containing the old Herrscher of corruption (nr.12). One day this Herrscher in the box manipulated and took control of Yae. Kallen was forced to seal Yae together with the Herrscher in a stigma, in the process she was badly injured, found by Schicksal and sent back to Kolosten for a trial in which she was sentenced to hanging. At that point she had just given up on life and accepted her fate and Otto couldn't convince her to flee. As a last ditch effort, Otto released that Honkai beast you saw at Kallen's execution to rescue her in the chaos, but he underestimated a Kaslana's resolve to save the people.
Im really grateful to you and alot of people cause now i think i got the whole picture of went down between Otto and Kallen and I can safely say this all would have been resolved if Otto's balls was working at the start and he just told kallen all of this straight. It is really easy to think that what Otto did was nothing if we run by the usual infinite timelines theory in which every possibility exists. But this is much closer to a Steins;Gate concept. The Samsara makes most of things that should happen, happen. So what we see here is that the world in the Imaginary choose for Kallen to die. That's is Otto's enemy. An universe in which Kallen dies no matter when. No matter what. The Samsara that made both Himeko die. The Samsara that made both Rin to be sacrificed. And that is not only on this world but every other. Just like Kiana and Mei will always be together, Seele and Bronya, etc. It is, after all, a Samsara that makes things repeat again and again, with Honkai Gakuen, Honkai Impact and now with Honkai Star Rail. But Otto fought that. He literally became an Imaginary being that can dictate existence and didn't choose to just fuck even more the world he already fucked bringing Kallen back. He created a perfect timeline, a Steins;Gate kind of timeline, where she is alive and well. But he isn't. He choose to sacrifice for this. Just like the Will of Honkai told him years ago - the self-sacrifice idea. The only way for him to save Kallen is him not existing. The only way for him to create a perfect world is for him dying. I have a wish that Star Rail is Otto's timeline. The world that he created. A world where every character that we already know kinda got their dreams. Himeko is exploring the stars, Bronya is with Seele, etc. This would be the most selfish thing he could do. And that is the best.
Actually, what Otto did is: he created an alternative timeline where Kallen it's not dead, not touching the flow of the time of the current universe where the girls are.

just in case your wondering, kallen meets sakura before getting executed, after otto sended the oath of juda to yae village, she figths a possesed yae and gets hurt in the prosses, because of that she got captured and sentenced to seath, then ottos sister convinced a desperate otto to release honkai beasts in order to save kallen during the confucion, but kallen is a hero, and instead chose to figth the honkai beasts to save the same people that condeem her to death.

I teared up at the Siegfried doll part upon realizing who they are by their voice. And also, I cried at how the story just glossed over what Bianka could have been feeling. Like there wasn’t even enough time for them to explore it. Imagine being engineered to be someone and missing your real life all those years, missing time that she could have shared with her dad. All her life was devoted to Schiksal and its causes and she barely pursued any wants of hers. She basically mirrored Cecilia’s valkyrie life.
Yeah not gonna lie i always found her character kinda "boring" but now knowing her full story i realise that i was just not seeing her real strength in its entirety. Many people, myself included always see Otto as scum that shouldn't be left alive because of his action. and yet every time that we watched Thus Spoke Apocalypse, we shed tears and start to understand his actions. He did it because he felt hopeless, felt that he could do better, could handle it better. Otto is the living embodiment of human selfishness. we hate Otto because he did what we couldn't do, and that is willing to sacrifice lives for the sake of one. Deep down, we all are Otto in one way or another. we would sacrifice anything for our loved ones, even if that means being the villain in someone else's story. We would want to kill 5 people rather than our loved ones if given the chance to pull the lever that controlled the tracks. Do I hate Otto Apocalypse? yes. But do I respect him? absolutely. While Kallen still alive is good an all, what's she going to do now ? Her Lover died, her Best Friend is erased from existence and the organization she fought for labeled her as a Criminal. There's little to no safe haven awaiting for her
Otto gave her infinite possibilities, so literally any possible timeline with her alive now exists, there's probably a timeline where she goes on to straight up defeat Honkai single-handedly

I think you know the story till then. Then she was sent to prison. Otto helped her flee. Than she went like to yae village and meets Sakura. In the end she is still send to hanging by the church. Otto tries to save her by releasing the honkai beast and raining her during the chaos. But she decides to protect the people and dies by the honkai beast. I probably got something wrong as I haven’t read the manga in a long time. Please correct me.

Otto was a net good for humanity for better or for worse, most of his evils where directed to the playable cast, that said, his fuck ups in New York and Sirin suddenly going full seraphim on their asses was his and his fault alone
Just to clear up some things Kallen meets Sakura before being sentenced to hang. She ran off with the purple box and met her in the village. Read the gratitude arc manga for more details As for how Otto saved Kallen. I may be wrong, but, he made a branch in the imaginary tree where Honkai does not exist. At the cost of his existence, or life, whatever. So there exists a universe where Kallen does live. This was the best Otto can do to revive the one and only Kallen because even when he made vessels (Amber, Teri) they were never truly Kallen because they did not have her soul. You should know by now, but that whole “wiping out t00 years” was cap to make sure Kiana and Durandal act when he needed them to. There are UA-camrs who explained it better, but this should be more or less what happens.
Also, his love for Kallen is a different love than it was when he is younger. It's like your love for you mom or dad or older sibling who were your role model. Otto case was pretty much this now as her existence is what made his life have meaning. A pinnacle of a hero. A hero that the world needs, yet by his hands and cowardice got her killed. Despite many achievements of advancing humanity, he felt that he himself will never be enough to get the world ready to combat honkai and would be better off if Kallen existed. So he orchestrated a grand plan to set up events that leads up to his destination to the tree while forcefully tarnishing his name for the world to forget him as a villain. The branch he created is still part of the world. Just branched off at an earlier point using his wellbeing as a price to make a small change in the continuity while using what left of his body as a missile to pin point strike the location that house his nightmares for 500 years. Destroying the mistake (honkai beast that killed Kallen) with his life.

Events of Kallen death were covered in St. Freya high manga if you are interested. Also you can get idea of what Siegfried has been upto in meantime from Moon Shadow (Fu Hua related manga) and world serpent (it's a 1 chapter manga covering events of Kevin return from sea of quanta. There is also some short clip in one of chapters, I dont exactly remember which shows Otto and Kallen last talk before her execution day

small timeline clarification: after the events of the elan palatinus manga, kallen ran off to japan with the black box containing the previous era's herrscher of corruption then she met yae sakura and they fell in love, but the box's power started leaking out and corrupted sakura kallen had to seal her away with oath of judah and was taken back to europe, heartbroken she got arrested and was sentenced to a hanging, which resulted in what happened in that cutscene also the explanation for sushang calling otto "raksha" dates back to an old visual novel called shattered swords/seven swords it gives some more fu hua backstory after her disciples killed her, and was where we got to see sushang for the first time (she became friends with otto but since she couldn't remember his name, she started calling him "raksha", which is basically a slur for white people lmao)

So the order of things is she battles Fu Hua and is severy damaged, she heals, does some robin hood shit, then leaves as she found out Otto made inhuman experiments and it is this point where she travels and meets Sakura, "follows her" for a bit and finds a black box (honkai herrscher power encapsulated by the previous era). This is why she comes back to Kolosten as she was damaged again. In Kolosten she gets to jail for the robin hood shit and from this point you get here

You totally missed the point of Otto and Kallens relationship so let me clarify. Otto never "loved" Kallen in the sense of regular love. He saw her as the only beauty of the world and manifestation of beauty in the world. Like how fanatic christians IRL see Jesus Christ as manifestation of love. Like how kiana says fight for all that is beautiful in the world Otto did the same by fighting for Kallen. Otto knew from the start whatever he was doing was selfish and Kallen would kill him for it. But he didn't care about it. He saw the salvation of the world on Kallen alone. Although he did see traces of Kallen in people like Theresa Durandal Kiana Fu Hua as he was dying. And gave them a weapon against honkai (imaginary renormalization) in his death and took another herrscher out of line (11th) by using it's authority himself. He in the end reached imaginary tree and created a new world where Kallen would live on. There is no time travel. He was bluffing from the start about it to taunt Kiana so she pushes herself to use imaginary renormalization. Time travel is pretty much impossible in HI3 except for a thing i will not talk about cuz spoilers. Just like how it is irl traveling to past is impossible. He was geniunely one of the best villains of all time and i am not exaggerating.
Changing the past is not going to bring a better future. If an individual who was supposed to die, lived, then those in the future might not even be born. We might not even see Kiana or Durandal. Theresa was someone who was born from experiments that Otto made. Then Theresa will not be born in that world. The only thing Otto might have accomplished is to bring a change to Kallen's future. Humanity's future? Kiana, Durandal, Theresa, and the other characters? I'm not sure about that. The world might even be in chaos right now.

We don't want them to suffer more by continuing to live and probably they don't want that. I think revenge might be the best way to actually bring justice for them, but making them live again might not be the best choice. Just like movies with the mc having return to the past ability, it needs may attempts to create a happy future. That also means the person going through with it will suffer many times before succeeding in getting a happy future. Oh well, I guess Otto just wanted to leave Kallen at least with a chance. The Samsara that made both Himeko die. The Samsara that made both Rin to be sacrificed. And that is not only on this world but every other. Just like Kiana and Mei will always be together, Seele and Bronya, etc. It is, after all, a Samsara that makes things repeat again and again, with Honkai Gakuen, Honkai Impact and now with Honkai Star Rail.
But Otto fought that. He literally became an Imaginary being that can dictate existence and didn't choose to just fuck even more the world he already fucked bringing Kallen back. He created a perfect timeline, a Steins;Gate kind of timeline, where she is alive and well. But he isn't. He choose to sacrifice for this. Just like the Will of Honkai told him years ago - the self-sacrifice idea. The only way for him to save Kallen is him not existing. The only way for him to create a perfect world is for him dying.
I have a wish that Star Rail is Otto's timeline. The world that he created. A world where every character that we already know kinda got their dreams. Himeko is exploring the stars, Bronya is with Seele, etc. This would be the most selfish thing he could do. And that is the best.

just in case your wondering, kallen meets sakura before getting executed, after otto sended the oath of juda to yae village, she figths a possesed yae and gets hurt in the prosses, because of that she got captured and sentenced to seath, then ottos sister convinced a desperate otto to release honkai beasts in order to save kallen during the confucion, but kallen is a hero, and instead chose to figth the honkai beasts to save the same people that condeem her to death.
Damn she loses her lover, best friend and people all in one night

I teared up at the Siegfried doll part upon realizing who they are by their voice. And also, I cried at how the story just glossed over what Bianka could have been feeling. Like there wasn’t even enough time for them to explore it. Imagine being engineered to be someone and missing your real life all those years, missing time that she could have shared with her dad. All her life was devoted to Schiksal and its causes and she barely pursued any wants of hers. She basically mirrored Cecilia’s valkyrie life.
Yeah not gonna lie i always found her character kinda "boring" but now knowing her full story i realise that i was just not seeing her real strength in its entirety. Even after she learned the truth i admired how she didnt allow herself to break and saw things through rationally in the end. Im glad she has rita :)

Many people, myself included always see Otto as scum that shouldn't be left alive because of his action. and yet every time that we watched Thus Spoke Apocalypse, we shed tears and start to understand his actions. He did it because he felt hopeless, felt that he could do better, could handle it better.
Otto is the living embodiment of human selfishness. we hate Otto because he did what we couldn't do, and that is willing to sacrifice lives for the sake of one. Deep down, we all are Otto in one way or another. we would sacrifice anything for our loved ones, even if that means being the villain in someone else's story.
We would want to kill 5 people rather than our loved ones if given the chance to pull the lever that controlled the tracks. Do I hate Otto Apocalypse? yes. But do I respect him? absolutely. Otto Apocalypse is one of the most well-written villains in all media.

Than she went like to yae village and meets Sakura. In the end she is still send to hanging by the church. Otto tries to save her by releasing the honkai beast and raining her during the chaos. But she decides to protect the people and dies by the honkai beast.

Just to clear up some things
Kallen meets Sakura before being sentenced to hang. She ran off with the purple box and met her in the village. Read the gratitude arc manga for more details
As for how Otto saved Kallen. I may be wrong, but, he made a branch in the imaginary tree where Honkai does not exist. At the cost of his existence, or life, whatever. So there exists a universe where Kallen does live. This was the best Otto can do to revive the one and only Kallen because even when he made vessels (Amber, Teri) they were never truly Kallen because they did not have her soul.
You should know by now, but that whole “wiping out t00 years” was cap to make sure Kiana and Durandal act when he needed them to. There are UA-camrs who explained it better, but this should be more or less what happens.

Otto case was pretty much this now as her existence is what made his life have meaning. A pinnacle of a hero. A hero that the world needs, yet by his hands and cowardice got her killed.
Despite many achievements of advancing humanity, he felt that he himself will never be enough to get the world ready to combat honkai and would be better off if Kallen existed.
So he orchestrated a grand plan to set up events that leads up to his destination to the tree while forcefully tarnishing his name for the world to forget him as a villain.
The branch he created is still part of the world. Just branched off at an earlier point using his wellbeing as a price to make a small change in the continuity while using what left of his body as a missile to pin point strike the location that house his nightmares for 500 years. Destroying the mistake (honkai beast that killed Kallen) with his life.

small timeline clarification: after the events of the elan palatinus manga, kallen ran off to japan with the black box containing the previous era's herrscher of corruption
then she met yae sakura and they fell in love, but the box's power started leaking out and corrupted sakura
kallen had to seal her away with oath of judah and was taken back to europe, heartbroken
she got arrested and was sentenced to a hanging, which resulted in what happened in that cutscene
also the explanation for sushang calling otto "raksha" dates back to an old visual novel called shattered swords/seven swords
it gives some more fu hua backstory after her disciples killed her, and was where we got to see sushang for the first time (she became friends with otto but since she couldn't remember his name, she started calling him "raksha", which is basically a slur for white people lmao)
Hmm and HSR Otto keeps that name.

So the order of things is she battles Fu Hua and is severy damaged, she heals, does some robin hood shit, then leaves as she found out Otto made inhuman experiments and it is this point where she travels and meets Sakura, "follows her" for a bit and finds a black box (honkai herrscher power encapsulated by the previous era). This is why she comes back to Kolosten as she was damaged again. In Kolosten she gets to jail for the robin hood shit and from this point you get here

You totally missed the point of Otto and Kallens relationship so let me clarify. Otto never "loved" Kallen in the sense of regular love. He saw her as the only beauty of the world and manifestation of beauty in the world. Like how fanatic christians IRL see Jesus Christ as manifestation of love. Like how kiana says fight for all that is beautiful in the world Otto did the same by fighting for Kallen. Otto knew from the start whatever he was doing was selfish and Kallen would kill him for it. But he didn't care about it. He saw the salvation of the world on Kallen alone. Although he did see traces of Kallen in people like Theresa Durandal Kiana Fu Hua as he was dying. And gave them a weapon against honkai (imaginary renormalization) in his death and took another herrscher out of line (11th) by using it's authority himself. He in the end reached imaginary tree and created a new world where Kallen would live on. There is no time travel. He was bluffing from the start about it to taunt Kiana so she pushes herself to use imaginary renormalization. Time travel is pretty much impossible in HI3 except for a thing i will not talk about cuz spoilers. Just like how it is irl traveling to past is impossible.
He was geniunely one of the best villains of all time and i am not exaggerating.

Changing the past is not going to bring a better future. If an individual who was supposed to die, lived, then those in the future might not even be born. We might not even see Kiana or Durandal. Theresa was someone who was born from experiments that Otto made. Then Theresa will not be born in that world. The only thing Otto might have accomplished is to bring a change to Kallen's future. Humanity's future? Kiana, Durandal, Theresa, and the other characters? I'm not sure about that. The world might even be in chaos right now.
I dont think he cares about humanity's future compared to the girl he loved for so long, and honestly he'd find me for company there as well. We're only human after all, let gods decide the complicated crap. We gotta live for ourselves really.

It's just not only humanity's future, but also Kallen's future is not certain yet. What makes us think that Kallen will not go through the same thing again with the church? In my opinion, if someone dies then we ought to leave them be. We don't want them to suffer more by continuing to live and probably they don't want that. I think revenge might be the best way to actually bring justice for them, but making them live again might not be the best choice.
Just like movies with the mc having return to the past ability, it needs may attempts to create a happy future. That also means the person going through with it will suffer many times before succeeding in getting a happy future.
Oh well, I guess Otto just wanted to leave Kallen at least with a chance. But her suffering will continue I guess.
