Hi Phil & Juliet, You certainly have reduced the caravan payload by reviewing everything you carry. Have a brilliant time in Holland and all the very best to you both, Rob & Gail 😀

Hi Rob n Gail. Yes we stripped it right back. It made our towing experience more pleasant going over the m62. We have missed anything we left behind so we must have had a lot of dead weight. Will catch up on our return. Phil🇳🇱🙂👍

    Hi Phil.
    Happy holidays to you both.
Can Iask your advice please ?
To make the car heavy and keep the caravan as light as possible, I travel with as much as possible in the former and as little as feasible in the latter.
Does that make sense to you? In the past, I have asked other Vloggers but never got a proper reply.
    Thank you 👍

Hi Martin we are away with a new tow car and have to say. Towing with a heavier car and a lighter caravan has worked well for us. However it does depend on your car and caravans pay load. Now back to my red wine 😂 thanks Phil 🙂👍

We use red Pennant, last year we had to make a claim on the health side, it was straightforward and only £40 administration for the claim which I considered very reasonable. Have a great trip.

Hi Phil, It's a useful video, but you made a serious error at 5.55 on your video you put up on the screen information on drink drive limits. It showed the UK limit as 80, when in fact, in Scotland it is 50. Sorry, but you really need to change this. We welcome many visitors from other parts of the UK, and I wouldn't wish to see anyone lose their licence due to a misunderstanding. Fun fact our speed limits for certain classes of vehicles are different as well!

Hi Phil. Where did you find out about the Netherlands law stipulating a fixed eyelet point for the breakaway cable please? I can't find anything about it on the CAMC overseas touring guides.
I have an eyelet point to which I can directly clip a carabiner style cable, but the eyelet is too small to pass through a standard clip style cable to clip back on itself (Westfalia removable tower). We are shortly getting a new van, so I am thinking of asking the dealer to replace the clip style with an approved carabiner style cable for direct attachment.
The whole area of breakaway cable safety is a bit of a mess really...

Hi Thanks for watching and asking a good question. Whilst booking and researching my trip. I read on google and a Caravan forum that the breaking cable had to be fixed to a permanent eyelet. I have a carabiner clip for mine which works well. I would have the cable changed if it will fit the eyelet. I hope this helps. Thanks Phil👍🙂

Your 35 limit is England and Wales not UK
    Scotland is 22
