Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the largest in America. The public observance of St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah traces back to 1824. There are about 280 units in the parade including bands, soldiers, societies and floats. People come to Savannah Georgia from all over the world to participate in the Savannah Georgia St Patrick's Day Parade.
The parade began at 10:15 at the intersection of Gwinnett and Abercorn. We rode the convenient Savannah Shuttle from Tybee Island and arrived at the parade route in time to get a Bloody Mary at Savannah Taphouse.
