I used to wrap the night before Christmas but I would take a sip of my drink every time I lost the tape or pen 😂until one year I got a little too Merry and rode my sons Christmas bike down the hallway and stacked it 😂 since then I be sure to wrap by mid December and no drinks 😂😂

My parents used to give me only one gift,even if I was an only child('till three years ago).Now I'm 16 and I wrap presents,even Santa's😂. I don't really mind about them anymore,I'd prefer spendinh time with my family and friends.

I can’t help it. I’m the fancy wrapper lol. I love making all the creases perfect and lots of curled ribbons and bows. I even hide the seam on the side of the package 😂 Santa always leaves the kids gifts opened and assembled. Batteries installed / charged and all set up to play with immediately ❤️🎅🏼 Also, I tried wrapping presents on Christmas Eve once and I was so upset the kids tore through them the next day. I didn’t even get to look at the pretty packages for a while under the tree. Never again! Lol.

In my family, we all recruit my Husbands grandma to help with gift wrapping. She sets up a banquet table and gets all the paper and tags ready, and the moms have a wrapping party. It’s so much fun. Grammy is a saint!

Also...I bought Dollar Tree paper one year, it had a little bit of a glitter design. I wrapped a Crock Pot for a friend and put it in the back seat of my car on my black fabric seats. In 2008. I traded that vehicle in February of this year and that glitter was still visible in the back seat.

So I'm engaged and my finances family wraps santa gifts in white tissue paper... so because I dont want my step son to be the only one unwrapping presents from Santa in normal wrapping paper, now I have to use white tissue paper. Do you know how much harder it is to wrap in white tissue? How many layers you need to not see through that?! I want to do back in time and yell at whichever ancestor of his decided that Santa used white tissue paper. -.-

My mother did the christmas eve wrapping every year. She'd send all 6 of us kids to bed SUPER EARLY and then she'd watch carols on tv and wrap until like 3am (with 6 kids, ya gonna be wrapping for a while) and then refuse to get up before 9am on christmas morning. Which I took for my kids too. Buuuut I still wrap before christmas eve. I just like sleep.
I wrap exactly like you do. :) No ribbons or bows for me - I'm annoyed enough by just cutting and taping, haha. My husband is a 'measure how much paper I need but still cut it too small so I have to Macgyver tiny scraps to cover the holes' type wrapper. :)
I have become the kind of wrapper you are! No bows, a little messy. I just wrap it and its done. The kids dont care if bows are on it anyways. Plus we are traveling and we are taking the wrapped gifts. So I didnt use boxes for the clothes and no bows! I start out excited to wrap then 4 gifts in Im like "when will I be done!" Lol 🤣🤣
I wrap all my gifts using hot glue so there are no visible adhesives and i can't stand cut edges showing so i fold everything in before topping it all off with ribbon and toppers. on Christmas morning i give everyone their own set of scissors for opening but they still complain
I try to wrap early-ish. But we're usually shopping until the last minute so I'll be wrapping while supper is in a hands off phase. I grew up with cereal boxes, diaper boxes, chip boxes etc holding all those awkward shaped things & paper over the box. I save most of the paper scraps too. All those scraps come in handy if a ginormous gift gets bought. Hockey bag 20 years ago & something a few years ago used up the scraps. We got like 50 rolls of paper from an estate sale last year. I gave away most of it to 2 families, but of the stuff we kept, only 2 rolls have been finished so far - golf paper & pink leopard which was already open. I opened 1 roll yesterday (yay for 90% of gifts atm wrapped!) and holy moley...glitter explosion. We have another roll of it too. Problem 1: loose glitter. Problem 2: tape doesn't stick to it! So next year everyone gets blue glitter paper and I only need to clean the floor the day I wrap & the day gifts get opened. The paper designer even knew tape wouldn't stick & included double sided tape! (I found it after I wrapped 2 gifts.) I was just glad we had all the leftover fancy cloth gold ribbon that I rarely touch to help hold the paper together. I love seeing a variety of paper under the tree so we have like 20-30 rolls in various colors & elegance. And then you get tired of the same Santa paper for 5 years & use it all in a year to finally be rid of it. I love bags, except they're not as much fun to open, easier to peek into & you have to store them & the tissue paper after. But for some gifts they are so helpful & I do love the reusability factor. We also reuse clothing boxes over & over until they're so mangled its trash time. Those boxes are crazy expensive! (And that reminds me I need to grab some bags for my sister out of the stash...)
Trying to go for a low waste Christmas so I bought sacks from the bullseyes playground. And a huge Santa sack that I’ve used for 6 years now from pottery barn kids.
Once I get rid of my stash of paper (which is non recyclable wether you use it or not anyway so may as well use it now) I’m thinking craft paper with cute st ring and branches and stuff cause I just can’t do bags and box....it makes me so said lol like unwrapping is part of it to me! Plus I love wrapping way too much.

I’m 14 and I’m really obsessed with you videos right now. My dad is a extremely proefessional wrapping paper. Each child has a different color wrapping paper and “santa” brings all the gifts with one wrapping paper. All the wrapping papers match in color scheme and he is super neat and will spend several hours wrapping just a few presents because he needs it to look perfect. Bigger gifts tend to have bows or ribbons around it etc. I love my dad but I can see the slight look of sadness when we just tear through the paper, that’s why now I try to open as carefully as I can loool! ❤️❤️

I loved the idea of using a different paper! This makes things so much easier for who's gift is who's when opening gifts! Why didn't I ever think of this!
I used to be really fussy with getting good quality wrapping paper now I do 2 different types good quality for adults and older children then no use the cheaper wrapping paper for the smaller children or much older people as the fact the paper rips easily makes it much easier for them to open the gifts. the better quality paper can be very difficult for older people to open if they dont have much strength in their hands same with little ones.
As a preteen, i say i love wrapping. Although i only have 2 wrapping papers, it’s so much fun! I always try and get it perfect. Before i wrap, i always watch like 20 tutorials on wrapping gifts. It’s so enjoyable. Can’t wait to wrap presents. It’s so weird! I’m SO excited! Like.. awake at 3AM exciting just to wrap a present! 😅
I’m fancy about wrapping but ONLY because I have 1 kid, and a husband to wrap for. So there’s not as many presents to wrap. Also I usually wrap them at 2 or 3 different times. After about 4-5 presents I don’t feel like making them fancy anymore 😛

I love wrapping because I get excited for them....I know I'm weird. Lol. And the wrapping does get tiering after 4 or 5 presents and then it starts to feel like an eternity. Lol. I loved this video. I wrap like you do. Each of the kids have their paper and Santa has his own that’s different. I do put a bow or a ribbon on each of their big gifts so we don’t accidentally give the “best” gift until last.
Growing up our gifts from Santa were wrapped in white tissue paper with our names written in big letters. Gifts from others were in wrapping paper. We loved it because we could spot the Santa gifts immediately. LOL I usually wrap as I buy, other wise things would be found & I find it overwhelming to have so much to do at once. you are a wrapping goddess. I wrap fast and sturdy but if I have time I'll wrap super special. If there's a lot for kids it's all about them being covered and festive. If it's for adults or I'm short on cash and need to bump up a gift that is homemade, I'll try harder to make it carefully wrapped. (watching your xmas last year in 2019 for Inspo)
I got my present wrapping skills from my grandmother. She is very intricate and loves to decorate presents with fresh pine tree branches, dried orange slices, cinnamon sticks etc. 😍

I wrap presents as I buy them or they arrive in the mail and put them under the tree. The kids love watching the pile grow thru the month. Santa presents are normally wrapped here
My sister wrapped my family’s presents and my mom wrapped up hers. She would put numbers instead of names and she would wrap them a week before Christmas and put it under the tree. My siblings and I were trying to figure out who was who. Turns out it was from oldest to youngest which meant I was number 2.
I get 2 Christmas days because my parents are divorced and they have joint custody over my little sister, my brother and myself. My mom always buys exactly what we put on our lists, no more no less (unless it's super expensive). She buys it and wraps it then puts it in the closet under a sheet before Thanksgiving, usually without even telling my stepdad. My dad on the other hand buys stuff throughout the year because he can't afford to buy it all at once and then wraps it all the night before or when we're at our mom's with our stepmom. This results in us knowing exactly what we're getting at our mom's and usually having a pretty small Christmas. At our dad's it's a lot bigger and it makes us look rich to a outsider but in reality my mom has more money than my dad..
Believe it or not this gave me motivation to start wrapping haha. I love wrapping gifts with a hallmark Christmas movie in the background. I used to wrap the night before so my kids weren’t getting into gifts, but what’s the fun in that right haha.

Once I get rid of my stash of paper (which is non recyclable wether you use it or not anyway so may as well use it now) I’m thinking craft paper with cute st ring and branches and stuff cause I just can’t do bags and box....it makes me so said lol like unwrapping is part of it to me! Plus I love wrapping way too much.

I’m 14 and I’m really obsessed with you videos right now. My dad is a extremely proefessional wrapping paper. Each child has a different color wrapping paper and “santa” brings all the gifts with one wrapping paper. All the wrapping papers match in color scheme and he is super neat and will spend several hours wrapping just a few presents because he needs it to look perfect. Bigger gifts tend to have bows or ribbons around it etc. I love my dad but I can see the slight look of sadness when we just tear through the paper, that’s why now I try to open as carefully as I can loool! ❤️❤️

I use gift bags for a majority of my gifts, due to dexterity issues I have trouble with using scissors.

I used to be really fussy with getting good quality wrapping paper now I do 2 different types good quality for adults and older children then no use the cheaper wrapping paper for the smaller children or much older people as the fact the paper rips easily makes it much easier for them to open the gifts. the better quality paper can be very difficult for older people to open if they dont have much strength in their hands same with little ones.

As a preteen, i say i love wrapping. Although i only have 2 wrapping papers, it’s so much fun! I always try and get it perfect. Before i wrap, i always watch like 20 tutorials on wrapping gifts. It’s so enjoyable. Can’t wait to wrap presents. It’s so weird! I’m SO excited! Like.. awake at 3AM exciting just to wrap a present! 😅

I’m fancy about wrapping but ONLY because I have 1 kid, and a husband to wrap for. So there’s not as many presents to wrap. Also I usually wrap them at 2 or 3 different times. After about 4-5 presents I don’t feel like making them fancy anymore 😛

I love wrapping because I get excited for them....I know I'm weird. Lol. And the wrapping does get tiering after 4 or 5 presents and then it starts to feel like an eternity. Lol. I loved this video. I wrap like you do. Each of the kids have their paper and Santa has his own that’s different. I do put a bow or a ribbon on each of their big gifts so we don’t accidentally give the “best” gift until last.

Growing up our gifts from Santa were wrapped in white tissue paper with our names written in big letters. Gifts from others were in wrapping paper. We loved it because we could spot the Santa gifts immediately. LOL
I usually wrap as I buy, other wise things would be found & I find it overwhelming to have so much to do at once.

My sister likes to get the fancy expensive wrapping paper and my mom loves her some ribbon on gifts!! Me I’m like dollar tree wrapping paper cheap and they have really cute prints found Harry Potter wrapping paper for my daughter she loves it! I also only buy wrapping paper after Christmas when it’s super cheap for other family members! I like a good gift bag and reuse them kills me when my sister just throws them out! Santa has special paper in our house! I wrap my daughters presents while she’s at school her birthday is over Christmas break so those have to be done before break too!!

you are a wrapping goddess. I wrap fast and sturdy but if I have time I'll wrap super special. If there's a lot for kids it's all about them being covered and festive. If it's for adults or I'm short on cash and need to bump up a gift that is homemade, I'll try harder to make it carefully wrapped. (watching your xmas last year in 2019 for Inspo)
I got my present wrapping skills from my grandmother. She is very intricate and loves to decorate presents with fresh pine tree branches, dried orange slices, cinnamon sticks etc. 😍

My sister wrapped my family’s presents and my mom wrapped up hers. She would put numbers instead of names and she would wrap them a week before Christmas and put it under the tree. My siblings and I were trying to figure out who was who. Turns out it was from oldest to youngest which meant I was number 2.
I get 2 Christmas days because my parents are divorced and they have joint custody over my little sister, my brother and myself.
My mom always buys exactly what we put on our lists, no more no less (unless it's super expensive). She buys it and wraps it then puts it in the closet under a sheet before Thanksgiving, usually without even telling my stepdad. My dad on the other hand buys stuff throughout the year because he can't afford to buy it all at once and then wraps it all the night before or when we're at our mom's with our stepmom.
This results in us knowing exactly what we're getting at our mom's and usually having a pretty small Christmas. At our dad's it's a lot bigger and it makes us look rich to a outsider but in reality my mom has more money than my dad..
